I wish I would have bought the M2 version of this for $949 many months ago when they were getting rid of stock after M3 came out. I got greedy hoping for lower, but never happened.

It is time for apple to stop disrespecting customers with their nonsense upgrade pricing. It's bs. Im not buying a 8gb machine. It doesn't cost them damn near anything to upgrade that ram. The only decent deals you usually find are for the base models.

Yeah I passed on the 15" base m2 at Costco for $800. That was good deal but that 8gb ram is just nonsense

From my knowledge 16gb is really needed for gamers and heavy photo/video editing, all the rest of tasks such as browsing with multiple tabs etc is more than enough with 8gb and with MAC OS which runs allot more efficiently than a windows machine with 8gb. That's what Apple prides there brand on, efficiency.
