On my phone, I just copied and pasted the web address to my email and opened it from there. Easy add to the Starbucks app.

When you get the email there will be a link to redeem and in the link they have a space btwn the words gift and card. Delete the space when you copy/paste the url and it should work.
Then you just add it to the app

As someone said there are ways around that and even if you do use your actual CC just put in a fraud alert if you see anything suspicious. You'll get a new card/number within a few days.
