Had this in my cart mulling around the idea of buying it and when I went back to the listing page to look at the details again and refreshed it I suddenly had a banner at the top of the page for a 10% off refurbished coupon pop up. Not sure how or why I got it but with a total after tax being $596 I figured I'd go through with it. Thanks OP.
Here is a quick review for anyone on the fence.

I use my FPV Drone for fun flying the canyons in my area, and also for creating videos for my off roading club. Its fast enough to keep up with the trucks on trails and pumps out great video. I USED to use home-build race quads and those are a bit faster, but they only fly for like 4-5 minutes tops. DJI FPV is also miles ahead of those in terms of tech and automation (like managing your power vs distance to home, finding its way home by itself, wind warnings, etc.

It's got some nanny's that can be annoying but the pros outweigh the cons by a long shot. I typically run in sport mode and sometimes in manual. Sport is good for about 63mph, which is about half what I need but way faster than any other DJI I've used. Its super easy to fly (especially with a motion controller) and has always been a rockstar for reliability and upkeep. I can't speak to this seller, but the drone itself is pretty badass.

There are some segments in this video for ref.

The only reason I would buy the Avata over this is that you sometimes see the prop blades in the video. Still going to be a very fun experience, but makes use of the recorded footage limited.

Sometimes you see the same in the Avata camera as well. It doesn't happen often for either,

The camera is much farther forward and above the props on the Avata so it's going to be far less likely. I'm sure it's possible but I have yet to see it in any videos for the Avata.

I think I got mine from Amazon warehouse around this price when they had the 20% off deal. Very fun drone to fly and DJI makes it very easy to learn before jumping in manual mode. I highly recommend buying the fly more battery pack because one battery will get you 20 mins max. You'll also need a case for all this, so in the end you'll be $1000 all in.

What is everyone's experience with the android app?
I have a mini and the app for my samsung phone is complete garbage. Packed with ads, camera view won't load 50% of the time (close app and restart over and over till it pops up).
This is the exact opposite behavior to the app that is on my iPad (Clean, no ads, works consistently).
Does DJI treat the Android app user like crap for the FPV drone as well?

This is the biggest reason I've never upgraded to something bigger/better. I shouldn't need to carry an iPad to use a drone. The phone in my pocket should be enough.

when you're out flying fpv on a daily basis, you don't need to worry about the dji fly app on your phone except for the rare instances where you need to connect it to properly active RID.

Is the phone an integral part to the process?
Are you saying I don't need it to fly every time?

I'm just fed up with the app experience on android. I've literally had ads pop up mid flight (that should be illegal, it's the equivalent of someone covering the drivers eyes driving down the road).

I tried to buy this in December '22. It was ~$585 for an open box excellent listing. When it arrived, the drone was clearly smashed and vital pieces like the batteries were missing. It took me arguing with a store manager and threatening to call the credit card company for a chargeback for them to take it back (I had it for about 45 minutes from the time I got the package to the time I showed up at BestBuy).
I can't imagine trying to argue with a no face online entity.
And yes, why is this thing still in the $600 range?

Is the drone under 250g? Or will I have to register it with the FAA?

My mini 1 wouldn't fly very far in my neck of wood because of interference. Would this be better distance wise?

I have owned this since release. It is incredibly fast and agile in "Sport" and "Manual". I would highly recommend it at this price.
