I have an ARRIS SURFboard with DOCSIS 3.1 but any old DOCSIS 3.0 modem will do as they get up to 1Gb and they are much cheaper
Thank for the info

This is a horrible deal. They had a deal a few months back for 1 gbit down for 39.99, for two years, with 100 dollar gift card.
You heard it from the FrugalFell0w themselves ladies and gents! Let's all get in our time machines and I'll see you a few months back from now! Toot-ta-loo!

I had to call them because my address was not coming up on the website. I'm a new customer, and they're charging me $65 for installation. Is that standard? I've never had Spectrum before.
I got charge that too 2 years ago when I went with spectrum

Who do you have to talk to specifically? Just ask for retention?

I'm about to port out, as $80 is too much.

Yeah. I had internet for 5 years at basic. Tried to cancel and they gave me this deal but even at lower price.

Anyone knows how to fix the slow website loading? Sometimes it takes 10+ seconds to load a website compared to FIOS? Is this normal?
Try refreshing both the modem and router by unplugging them completely from the wall socket/power source.

Wait 5 minutes.

Plug and power the modem first. Wait at least 1 minute for all lights to stabilize.

Lastly, Plug and power router.

If you still have issues, do the same thing but leave unplugged for 15-30 minutes.

Connect a device directed to the router via LAN cable when this problem surfaces. If OK, then the problem is rooted in the router. Try new router firmware or new router. Ask the provider to replace the modem if the issue is coming from the modem.

That's when you cancel and rejoin to get new customer price at that time. It works, been doing it for 6 years for me and my parents. Even the spectrum store rep told my parents to do that. Yes you have to return the old modem and get a new one in the mail and set it up, but it's easy and fast. worth it to save $$
Can the same person walk in cancel, and rejoin and they wont bat an eye?

Spectrum phone lines are separate from internet service. If you cancel internet, the phone lines will remain. You will lose any special pricing you have for the phone lines when you remove Internet. If you reactive Internet at a later time, if there us a special offer for phone lines, it should apply again.

I just called Spectrum to cancel my Internet service. The billing cycles is set to end next week. I tried to go to the OP link and when I put in my address and chose New Customer, it told me I need to call in. Is there a path to order it online?

So should I call and still use my same name even if it's the current name on the account?
