Some people prefer polyester-based material so sweat gets evaporated faster than cotton when working out.

Others like you, may prefer the softer material cotton but drenched with sweat when working out hard.

A note on these - they are just regular 'tshirt' / cotton material. I would not wear these for the gym, running, etc.

Assuming it's the same one, it says on Adidas website that they are 65% poly and 35% cotton:

I don't understand what you mean, I only wear cotton shirts to gym as they are super comfortable to me compared to polyester, etc materials with fake super wicking qualities. Not trolling anyone, this is just my preference.

On point. I prefer to wear polyester with some blend of cotton to GYM. It handles sweat and washing cycles better, doesnt absorb sweat like I am a pool of sweat and usually doesnt shrink too much like cotton.

Its a preference, but I can't stand wearing pure cotton ones. They just stick to me whereas the poly blend ones dry / evaporate more quickly.

I find nothing smells as bad as a sweat soaked poly shirt, but cotton absorbs the sweat and holds it while poly wicks it away.

Sport shirts are usually poly or poly/cotton blends to wick away sweat so it can evaporate. There's nothing fake about wicking - cotton holds on to sweat.
