I mainly need the vac function. Used a Black & Decker corded one and it worked well for quite some year until the motor burnt out. Anyone knows if this vac is powerful enough for sucking the leaves?
Indeed, almost worth it just for the battery. 4ah seems to be the sweet spot for most of my tools. I have one 8ah, but in anything other than the chainsaw it lasts far longer than needed so the weight "outweighs" the larger capacity.
I have a GW blower, though they now call in a 'sweeper' and at 150 MPH /135 CFM that is about right. It's good for blowing out the garage, but really slow for more typical blower jobs.
Plus the vac should make minor leaf pick up (corners and such) much easier.
Anyone have this? How well does the vacuum really work on leaves? TIA
Had one for a few years. Works great on dry leaves, pine needles, and small pinecones. It can clog in the pipe if you do too many leaves at once or if they are wet, so you either go a little slow, or just use one section (pipe is 2 parts) and bend over a little.
Overall hands down prefer it over manual bagging, and the shredding is decent too, can go right into compost without having to run it through my chipper (I use that for branches).

Not good for blowing. "OK" for leaves.
Frankly, the 80v is much better for blowing (drastically better) and it's strong enough to where you could just pile up the leaves and then use a mower to bag 'em up.
Holy cow. I got this same blower/vac in 2018. It's … okay. Compared to my M18 3017-20 blower, this definitely produces more airspeed with the very small nozzle, so I can do things like blow gravel out of expansion joints. But for moving a bunch of leaves, the Milwaukee is definitely the better tool. As a vacuum, it's also … okay. Will not pick up wet leaves, and even dry leaves sometimes I have to go back two or three times to pick up a leaf that is in the grass or whatever (on speed 6 with the turbo option on). For a few leaves that are spread out, picking up by hand or using a trash spike or whatever would be faster. For a large volume of leaves, this will help, and the mulched leaves will take up much less space, which is great, but I have had the vacuum struggle to pick up leaves that I raked first. It is also fairly loud, enough that I won't use it without hearing protection.

Thinking about just going with the hyper tough blower/vac combo that's corded for 54 bucks instead.
