Its same as Onkyo and Pioneer only geared towards installers and its actually considered the highest end of their offerings. Same components as equivalent Onkyo or Pioneer for most part but maybe more inputs/outputs and more hardware settings. One example is this model has 3 12V triggers for turning on external amps, fans, etc. where the Onkyo and Pioneers I believe have 1. This model doesnt look as sexy as the Onkyo RZ50 but is expected to be shoved in a theater closed and hooked up to amps by an installer.

This particular model is basically a Onkyo TX RZ50 with slightly less power but keeping DIRAC and preouts and everything else.
No, the Integra DRX3.4 is equivalent to the Onkyo 7100 and Pioneer 305:

As others have said, Integra caters to the custom-install crowd and may have additional benefits like the aluminum front, zone 3 RCAs, etc. but largely the same across the 3. Buy what you like!

I have the 3800H and love it. The bass shaker dedicated sub out is amazing. But really, it's about the sound profile you're looking for. Denons are warmer sounding to my ears. Yamaha are more crisp and technical. Never heard an Integra.
I have the 3800 and found it to be reference flat before adding any house curves. When you said the Denon was "warmer", was this only after adding something like a Harman curve?

In terms of power supplied you are correct (which is why I also stated the DRX 3.4 had slightly less power), but a key about the DRX 3.4 is that it has full preouts so you can hook up an external amp to 9 channels (vs 11 on the RZ50) -- this feature is missing from the 7100 and 305 (which dont have any preouts) and only in the Onkyo RZ50 and Pioneer 505. If desiring using external amps this would be a dealbreaker for the 7100 or 305 but possible with the DRX 3.4 (making the lesser power not even matter). Otherwise its got same functionality as RZ50 (less 2 channels processed so youd be limited to 5.1.4 with 4 atmos vs 7.1.4 with rear surrounds and 4 atmos)

How does a dedicated bass shaker sub out differ from a normal sub out?
Lowest LPF option for normal LFE outs is 80Hz. For bass shaker out it is 40Hz.

Also helps it recognize it is not a real sub for Audyssey/Dirac.

Very tempted... but I'd love some input. Between the Integra 3.4 9.2, Sony AZ3000ES 9.2, and Denon XR 3800H 9.4, which one do you think offers the best value for money? I'm especially interested in features, future-proofing, and how they'd pair with Klipsch RP II speakers
Anything will sound good with RP iis. They are very efficient.

The RZ50 equivalents are the Integra DRX5.4 and the Pioneer 505:

This is "common knowledge" amongst AV forums (Slickdeals is not exactly a fountain of AV knowledge). Your example for the pre-outs on the DRX3.4 is just one of the bonuses by going w/Integra. It doesn't make it equivalent to the RZ50 as the DRX5.4 clearly is!

Seeing a lot of questionable comps on here, and just wanted to clarify as the 3.4 holds a weird position in the lineup.

This is 9.2 channel with preouts, which puts it above the Onkyo 7100 and Pioneer LX305.

However, it does NOT have 11 channel processing. That puts it a notch below the Onkyo RZ50, Pioneer LX505, Denon 3800H, and Yamaha A6A.

As long as you click on the separate links for the DRX3.4 and DRX5.4 clones that I provided and understand the pre-outs on the DRX3.4 is an Integra "bonus", then everything becomes clear!

You can just as easily understand that the extra 2 channel processing on the RZ50/DRX5.4 is a "bonus". You are willfully downplaying one major feature for another for no discernable reason. What if I use pre-outs and never plan to use 11 channels? sigchidj is correct. It is between a 7100 and RZ50. You plugging your ears and closing your eyes doesn't change that.

Uh...ok. Onkyo/Integra (and now Pioneer) along w/Denon/Marantz have been playing these games since even when I was selling them nearly 20 years ago. It's called market segmentation: What would be the use of selling 3 identical clones from 3 different brands?!!!

By the way, additional channels processing normally requires a stronger DSP. Just ask all those RZ50 owners why it takes forever to transfer the Dirac filter vs RZ70 owners. Once you start saying AVRs w/a different number of channel processing are "clones", that's when it's no longer apples to apples!

Exactly, the DRX 3.4 has everything meaningful of the RZ50 and Pio 505 besides the extra 2 channels of processing and slightly more power: RZ50 and DRX 5.4 and Pioneer 505 have 120 W/Ch (8 ohms, 20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.08% THD, 2 channels driven, FTC) where as the DRX 3.4, Onkyo 7100, and Pio 305 only have 100 W/Ch. This is hardly noticeable in real listening.

If you look at the price of DRX 5.4 (even more than the RZ50) vs the 3.4 I think the DRX 3.4 is quite compelling. I know the DRX 5.4 and RZ50 are the 'top end' of the lineup while 3.4 and 7100 are one notch down but that doesnt mean this isn't closer to the RZ50 than the 7100.

I've actually owned both the DRX3.4 and Onkyo RZ50 and found no meaningful difference, I just wanted the option for 11 channels down the road, which may be a nonstarter for someone.

As far as features and future proofing the 3800 will be hard to beat.

It offers 11 pre outs, all 11 are assignable and all 11 can be turned off individually when using the pre outs(preamp mode).
The others do not offer this.

It supports 4 subwoofers and all 4 are independent. It offers integration for them with a new Directional setting.
It works under the same theory as DIrac's DLBC(& Trinnov/Room Perfect).
As someone pointed out it also offers bass shakers integration.
The others only offer parallel/mono sub outs.

Speak of Dirac it offers both Dirac Live & their sub/bass RC Dirac Live Bass Control(possibly Dirac's ART in the future).
Sony doesn't offer Dirac and the others only include Dirac Live with no option for DLBC.
Nice thing is you only pay for Dirac if you choose to.

Audyssey is a very good RC also and with the options available with it like Audyssey Editor app, MultEQ-X, Directional setting, Audyssey One EVO script for much less, very likely you won't need it.
It's there if you find you want it though.

That's quite a bit of features and future proofing the others don't offer imo.

Another poster mentioned it, but the crossover frequency is different than the sub outs. I can set the bass shakers to cut off at 40Hz so that only really deep bass triggers them (think Godzilla footsteps or gunfire) while the directional subs fill in the more ambient bass (think wind or earthquakes). It's a big difference as I don't want my shakers firing every frequency of bass into my butt. I can also tone down the "boom" of my subs without sacrificing the "shake".

Looks $749 to me.
It's working for me now too, link was not working last night. Very tempting, have an Integra DRX 4 currently that has worked great especially for the price I paid for it, but very interested in trying out Dirac live. Is there anything else similar with Dirac at this price? I currently only have a 5.1.2 setup so don't necessarily need more than 7 channels, not sure if I will add any in the future.

Nice and comes with Dirac onboard standard.
I personally own the onkyo Rz50

If this is sonically similar then it's a win win for anywhere remotely close to this price point
