I can recommend the sonic pad. I added one to my cr6-se and have been pleased with it. It took some firmware tweaks, but does work well. I'm a fan of the interface and appreciate the online interface. Solid upgrade and it can run multiple printers at the same time. This is a good price, and the extras are good too.

I cannot recommend the Sonic pad if you have anything besides the creality printer. They will not support it and say that it's not their printer so they don't have to give support even though it's built into their software and the button for another printer is right next to one for theirs so they support one button but not the other button in their own software. Also, their support is the most atrocious insane bullshit I've had to go through in a long long time. I've still been dealing with them since July 16th for god sakes and I still don't have solutions. Also they're cheap as fark. They were supposed to send me an upgraded ceramic block hotend with the unicorn nozzle and they sent the unicorn nozzle but swapped the ceramic heat fin out for the cheap aluminum one. It just blows my mind. Oh and if you do upgrade to the unicorn nozzle which is pretty much expected because it should be the default one you're getting but it may not be and you'll have to check because they won't tell you, all the nozzles that you have will no longer work because the unicorn nozzles are a special long nozzle and there's no adapters. Furthermore, even though I've seen people get all kinds of printers on a sonic pad, the one I received smelled like it had been in a warehouse of mold and mildew for about a year. So much to the points that I had to store the box outside and I could still smell it through the door. It took a week for the smell to get off the control box itself which also wouldn't work the way it was supposed to. It would rarely make firmware and if it would make firmware then it would not accept the printer config file that it needs to finish the setup. Just a huge pain in the ass. I'm Am, or I was, willing to chalk it up to the possibility that whatever mildew or mold may have ruined some of the circuit board or chips but they weren't entertaining that idea so I don't know why I should now. Finally, after sending it back they said they would refund my money to make up for it the minute I sent it but instead change their mind to waiting until it got to the warehouse prolonging problem. They also originally were going to replace it but did not have any to send back so I was SOL. Clearly they have some as proven by this sale.

I'll be honest, they make a pretty okay printer and I've got two K1 maxes. Ignoring the fact that they're both broken right now, I still think they're great printers but I would not do anything with creality that I couldn't fix myself because they're absolutely useless so much so that I was having, what I thought was one conversation over a month which turned out to be two conversations with two different units and they never informed me of that so while talking to one person they weren't apprised of the other promises that had been made for things and wouldn't honor them. I'd like to say they ended up doing so and realizing what they had done but they didn't. So I'm leaving this message.

I run my Ender 5+ and Ender 3 V2 Neo off my Sonic Pad. It prints faster, has Klipper, and allows remote monitoring. I love it.

Ok so I actually just bought one of these 2 months ago to upgrade my Ender 3 Pro and Ender 3 V3 SE (yes that's a real product name).

The TLDR is I would recommend it at this price.

I bought mine as an "open box" model from crealitys eBay store and used one of those 20% codes to bring the price down to 79$. Well worth it at that price.

It looked like it was opened once and then put away so I was happy with the condition. All of the parts were included like USB cord and different power adapters.

Basically what this pad will do is allow you to rewind the clock on some of your older creality printers. You can remote print via wifi, monitor your printer with a camera and do all the other cool things that come with Klipper.

The only thing I didn't like was I had to buy another cable to connect it to the V3 SE because it uses a serial connection instead of USB but it was less than $10.

There is a bit of a learning curve with this, it isnt as plug and play as creality advertises it and comes with its own set of quirks. But it cuts out the hardest part of a Klipper install which is the compiling of printer specific firmware. This device just does it all automatically for you.

Did it speed up your Ender 3 pro? I am only interested if it makes a big difference in speed since I already used octoprint on a pi.

I too have a ender 3 pro. In order to even try to use this you must have an upgraded silent board 4.2.2 or 4.2.7. It allow you to run a little higher speed but nothing extremely noticeable. If you want speed you may want to upgrade to ender 3v3 currently on refurbed on ebay for 173. https://www.ebay.com/itm/35581662...media=COPY

I think we're in the same boat. I've upgraded the hell out of the ender 3 pro and it maxes out at 135mm/s. Was about to pull the trigger on a bambu a1 but for 320. But, with everything costing more than I did last year.

Same here. Spent hundreds on upgrading my printer, when I could have just bought a BL printer from the get go for a little bit more. Lesson learned 😂

Definitely really depends on individual use case, but if you think you are going to need technical help, there's probably more support available for setting up a Raspberry pi from the community than you would get from Creality.

As we all know, after-sales support for 3D printing products is very poor. Users need to go to the community to seek answers. In addition, The sonic pad has a compatibility list. Creality should not provide support for products outside the list.
I don't want to refute you, but that's the truth.

Still a good deal and all but that code requires you spend a minimum of $300.

I regularly print at 150-180 (sometimes 200 when I'm feeling spicy) on a stock, unmodded V3 SE. Clearly the older V3s are limited but that doesn't mean Bambu is the only choice.

I've been trying to get my v3 se to work with klipper over USB, but no luck. Did you hook into the serial port exposed on the display connector?
