Not this one, but the same one in "Super Duty" won Project Farms shootout of best floor jack next to Snapon.

They're used at a lot of dealerships and mine still works after 6 years, get it with the jack stands and you can save a lot of money doing your own oil changes.

Reminder this is when the meme tool is $25, get it early before they're all gone

I have this exact Dayton low profile floor jack. Most of my vehicles are fairly high off ground so didn't think I would need to low profile but got it anyway on a past slick deal. Ended up needing the low profile for my mom's 2 door Lexus so that was nice. It lifts high seems very strong. Only thing I noticed is I have trouble slowly letting vehicles down. I think I am over tightening when I twist the handle before I start pumping so when I do go to let it down it takes a lot of force to loosen and makes it go down fast. It's a great jack and the low profile may come in handy even if you don't need it all the time
I have the exact same issue with my daytona "super duty". It wants to lock up tight and that makes you have to use a lot of unwind force to loosen which if you are not very careful can make the car come down faster which is not real safe. I always feel like it also requires more force to lift my vehicles vs my other jack but that just may be subjective feelings. I have never seen anyone else mention this so maybe it is just you and me got a lemon..

If its a car or SUV get ramps.

To be clear cause 2024, everyone should own a jack and stands, however if your vehicle can use ramps, they are way better for oil changes.
Dumb question but when using ramps for an oil change is 2 or 4 ramps the correct way?

2 ramps is the only safe way. Use the Ebrake and blocking in the back tires

Woludnn't the tilt make it so the oil pan doesn't fully drain?

Most vehicles I've worked on have the drain plug on the back side of the oil pan. With the vehicle on ramps, more oil is drained.

Can anyone speak to the quality and safety of the Daytona Floor Jack?
I have had this jack for 4 years and use it often, no issues.

It's excellent quality. As good as any floor jack. Mechanics swear by them. Harbor Freight has hit or miss items, these are a hit.

i normally use one ramp on the side of the filter, but two would be better.

also i use a plywood small sheet when ramping over soft ground.

ramps are best, if done right. makes the work easy peasy.

i had rhinos but i felt like i was going to drive over them lol so i went back to jack and stands

my wife helps me drive up the ramps telling me when to stop.

they really need a stop on the ends.

I believe all or the vast majority of oil pan drain plugs are located in the spot of the drainpan where this isnt a problem, like they engineered them for that.

Possibly - but doesn't that apply to just jacking up the front, as well?

I have had the non-daytona low profile 3 ton for over 10 years. No issues with it. Used at least once a month.

No jack's are safe without jack stands.
