Definitely not a good price should be about 15-18 more at 15.00.
this model has never been that price...maybe a standard evo edit i stand corrected apparently it did hit 15 in 2023 but i wouldnt consider that a normal price for these anymore

Not sure about the difference between high endurance and pro endurance, but the high endurance is $2 cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product..._pr_img_10 [amazon.com]
That is SanDisk (owned by Western Digital), not Samsung. But thanks for pointing it out, it is actually the one I would buy (for usage like security cams), being slightly less expensive, but very similar specs (Class 10, U3, V30) and product ratings. I'm annoyed that Samsung is generally more vague about write speeds, too.

PRO Endurance versions are designed for applications that need a lot of write cycles like dashcams that will write a lot of data and then repeatedly overwrite it. They are much more reliable than the cheaper sd cards as a result. If you've ever seen dashcam product listings say they're incompatible with cheap/common sd cards this is why. These cards are nice because they are also pretty high speed. If you are writing a ton of data or just want really good longevity this is the kind of card you want and this price is good for the 256gb version.
Got any proof of this extra reliability?

Is this good for a DJI action 4?
I buy these mainly for dash cams, since regular cards cannot withstand the heat. These are high endurance, so that's their main purpose.

I use these in my wireless security cams. No issues when I have bought them new. These normally run $35-40.

July 11 2023: The price was 19.99 for the 256GB, probably prime day. Not sure if this one has any newer tech inside.

Edit, it was the "New" version with the blue and white design.

Attached proof of purchase.

How do you get "employee" discount?
Many employers have "perks" programs, it could be there. Samsung also had educational and other discounts. They can save noticeable money on expensive purchases.

High endurance has nothing to do with heat. SD cards have a limited number of writes. In applications where they are written on most of the time, like dashcams or securuty cams regular cards can fail quickly. The high endurance cards have hidden spare memory in them. As the main memory starts to fail it is replaced by the spare. This is why they are pricier than the regular cards.
