Lowest price for this kit ever on Slickdeals!

Once you own and use this, you'll wonder how you lived without it. Easily break down sheet goods and 2x material without the heavier M18 sidewinder or rear-handle. It is a left-blade set-up, which may turn some people off but oh well.

Probably not the best deal if you don't want the batteries, but you could resell those I guess.

Yes it comes with a blade, so you can immediately start breaking down sheet goods in the Home Depot parking lot to fit them in the back of your SUV or car!

I just bought this for $93... I have tons of 2.5 HO but no 5.0 HO. So far I have found the 2.5 to have sufficient life for everything. Any reason to expect differently for this? Don't forsee any major projects with it just the occasional cuts

I'd stick with what you have. The high output is what's important for getting the most out of your Fuel tools. The only difference capacity-wise is time and maybe balance.

Would this have more power than my old brushed M18 6.5"?

Just broke into the M12 line and I could use more batteries.

Very interested in this... I have the Dewalt 4.5 circular saw and its great but that blade is just barely big enough to cut 2x4s and sometime if you get some old 2x4s it doesn't cut all the way through.

This being 1 pound lighter and little bit bigger blade might do the trick for small jobs with 2x4 or 1x material.

How is the power on this? Is it lacking with the 12v battery?

I wish this was "hackable" I don't really need the batteries.

There was one for $99 awhile back. But just sell the batteries on marketplace for $100

I have been waiting for a good deal on circular saw, but I really screwed up not sticking to 1 brand. I got Dewalt drills and drivers, I got Ryobi leaf blower, I got sunjoe trimmer, I got worx cutters.. Everything has different charger and some of them don't even have charging dock.
Please do not make the mistake I did, just stick to one brand and if possible same battery/charger, something like Ryobi One+

Having said that, I really want to be able to cut at least 2x4's without having to strain the blade or the saw. I used to have a ryobi that I borrowed, it cuts through up to 3/4" without a problem but it has to be completely level/straight or it binds, and it's SUPER LOUD.

Is this the ultimate in DIY person's garage?

I will never really need to cut anything deeper than 2", maybe at some point I might need to cut 4x4 but I guess I can just go around or cut it in two different passes? I assume those need a table saw of some kind right?

PS:
What is going on with this one here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../317987600
Includes batteries and tools $159? Is this like a toy compared to Milwuakee?

Based on your notes, you may be better off with a simple corded 10" miter saw. Please do not try to cut down a 4x4 on a table saw.

this is a great deal, because it comes with the new gen saw, 2521-20, not the older one 2530-20. I do own the older one and it does work great, but this new one is a game changer, and definitely competes with the big boys. There are a lot of reviews about it on youtube. One thing that I would recommend is to purchase a Diablo blade. The milwaukee blade is ok, but the Diablo blades are a lot better in my opinion.

Small correction, you need to stick to "one brand per voltage". For example, i have kobalt for 80, 40, and 24; but bosch for 12v (brushed). If you don't have anything 12V yet and want to add some smaller tools then you can choose from a few options without worrying about what brands you have for other sizes.

Sorry, miter saw, not table saw.. I meant to cut it with miter saw but I really don't plan to cut all that much and if I need to it will just be 2x4s, and maybe some plywood. Miter saw needs space and not for plywood right?

Do they make different batteries that use same charger? I assume smaller 12v ones are exceptions.
