Thanks! I managed to snag one for $599.99. 60 mile drive tomorrow to pick it up, but not a big deal.

Went to Kroger & purchased $600 of BBY gift cards on an Amex CC that pays back 6% on groceries. That's $36 off.

Kroger has 4x fuel points on GC purchases, so that's 2,400 fuel points from that purchase. That's 2 fill ups @ $1/gallon off, and 1 fill up @ $0.40/gallon off. Call that $48 off for a 20 gallon fill up in my truck.

$600 - $36 - $48 = $516 + tax + drive to pickup.

Not bad...

I had originally bought one of the BestBuy refurb 12.9" M1 iPads but decided it's just too big for me personally and awkward to hold. The battery health was also only 85%. For the same price I think I'll be happier with a brand new 11" with an M2. Not that the M1 was a slouch by any means, but it'll be nice having a more future proof iPad.

Here's the breakdown with the Instacart gift cards (with the $80 for $100 deal on Costco's website)

762.99 base - $200 discount - $17.21 retailer discount + $14 tip + $48.35 tax - $120 e-gift card savings = $488.13

People in states without sales tax can get it for about $20 less than that. That's a pretty smoking deal.

no, only new ipad air and ipad pro support apple pencil pro. So far only several apps support the new apple pencil pro function such as squeeze etc.

Agree it is YMMV. Target did price match online to Best Buy for me. They did decline at first saying they don't match sale prices but would make an exception. They didn't mention it was OOS.

i went to warehouse as instacart showed stock. Ended up paying $300 + tax/fees in Los Angeles area. Grabbed the last one apparently other than one in display.
If instacart lets you add it to cart, visit the warehouse. You might be able to grab it for $500-200 discount + whatever fees and taxes.

That is not true. First of all, only 2022 and 2024 ipad pro with more than 1tb storage have 16g ram, even the flagship iphone 15 pro max only has 8g ram. If apple releases the apple ai in this sep. and it only fits in 16g ram, it is a suicide. Secondly, based on the published paper from apple, apple focuses on these small large language models such as 2b or 4b parameters, which perfectly fits in 8g ram.

Now this person, Killjoy2012 is a true Slickdealer. It's important to consider the "opportunity cost" of every deal, including the cost to drive, both in wear and tear as well as mental energy to do the drive. .. for me, currently, with my life today, driving two hours for an iPad is a deal breaker, but that hasn't always been the case.

Got it this morning. Was able to stack the Instacart gift cards and PayPal 20% cb with it. Will see if I get the Chase 10% cb as well
