You are right though the 10s will be a game.e changer with TSMC and the 3 NM chip
If the trade in weren't as high as they are I would have waited for the 10s.
In June I used a 'free' P7P from the Mint Mobile deal last December to upgrade to a P8P and I made $50 in store credit. After that credit, here's how this deal breaks down
Promotional Discount: -$99.90 (ID.me)
Estimated Tax: $74.17
Shipping: $0.00
Total: $973.27
Google Store Credit: -$50.00
Total Due: $923.27
Store credit earned: $89.91 (Google 1) + $200.00 (Promo) = 289.91
P8P Trade-in: $699.00
CB Site (2%): $18.00
I am rolling the dice a bit that Google will hold to a September release date for P10 so that I can cash in on that device before the credits expire, but I could also pivot to spending it on other devices when they go on sale and be happy.

I traded in a Pixel 7 that I've been using as a secondary phone so I can buy a Pixel 9 Pro. You can see the example deal I wrote in the original post. (My Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will still be my daily driver, but I was curious to check out the Pixel 9 Pro.)
I hope this helps,

I currently have a P8 Pro and would like to trade in for the 9 Fold. The trade in value to get the fold in $345 vs $625 if I trade in for the P9 Pro. What would happen if I purchased the P9 Pro and then exchanged it for the 9 Fold. Would the $625 trade in value remain and I pay the incremental cost of the Fold?
