Though a $100 Best Buy gift card is better for most people than a $100 Google Store credit, so that's a factor too.

Also, I don't believe that any trade-in values have changed. They all seem to be the same as they were originally from what I've seen. However, it can get confusing since the trade value for one phone can change depending on which Pixel you're buying. But for some reason, the 12 Pro Max was never given the extra-high trade value like the regular 12 and 12 Pro.

No, it's still live. Trading an iPhone 12 Pro should get you a Pixel 9 Pro for free. Or trading an iPhone 12 should get you a Pixel 9 for free. But the 12 Pro Max never had the high trade value for some reason.
