IN-STORE PICKUP NOTE: If you pre-ordered a phone for in-store pickup, make sure that you check your online receipt before picking up your phone. If the full promo value shows up there, then your promo is locked in and that's the deal you will get. However, your promo trade bonus won't show up on your printed trade receipt. It may only mention your base trade value ($145 for an iphonen12, for example). If you're concerned, you should immediately check the BB online receipt for an updated summary that shows the new balance. As long as the "Order Total there is correct, you should be fine. Also, you may be charged for the full phone cost originally but that charge should be processed as a refund after a few days
Trade-in values are based not just on your trade, but also on what model you're buying. When trading an iPhone 12 / 13, you'll get the best trade value when buying a similar model of new Pixel. For example:
iPhone 12 / 13 Pro will get a $999 credit toward a Pixel 9 Pro (update: now $899 credit for 12 Pro)
iphone 13 Pro Max will get a
iPhone 12 Pro Max unfortunately does not receive extra bonus credit
Note: they now appear to be lowering the promotional values that were aimed at certain devices, so promotion values above are mostly dead. Se thead updates for any remaining promo specifics.

1. BB GC has more flexibility vs. Google Store credit
2. BB will deduct taxes off your trade = more saving
3. Trade instore = no headache vs. send in trade to Google's 3rd party
4. Easy return/replacement should there be some defects. Google CS is horrid.
Though a $100 Best Buy gift card is better for most people than a $100 Google Store credit, so that's a factor too.

Got 3 iPhone 12s from Metro 4 months back and will trade one in for this. This TIV is too crazy to pass up.

I tried to place an order on Metro's site using my google voice number and the price went up to $600 at checkout.
Edit: My mistake was not selecting a Flex plan. I do notice this "Note: Your number won't be transferred over until after your new device is activated."
So I wonder what happens if you never activate.
