09/13 - Trade in processing has slowed down, a trade in that was delivered to Chino,
CA on 09/06 wasn't processed until 09/13, representing ~5 business days from delivery to assessment. Kentucky was processing trades faster, with a ~1 business day turnaround reported on 09/12 when the delivery was made on 09/11.
09/05 - Best Buy no longer issues "trade in kits" (boxes with prepaid labels). Once your Pixel 9 Pro is delivered and the Best Buy order status shows delivered (their system lags behind UPS), you'll get an email with the next steps. You need to go into the Order Details page on BB.com, sign in and then you can print a pre-paid UPS label for the trade-in. Save a copy of the tracking number for your records and make sure it gets scanned in to the UPS system when you drop it off.
Trade ins will likely be delivered in bulk, but UPS should still show a delivered scan. IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR THE TRADE INS TO BE PROCESSED, DO NOT FREAK OUT IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN INSTANTLY. As of 09/04, they were processing trades that were delivered on 08/29 - so at least 4 business days. It WILL take time with the volume of P9P orders and trade ins.
If BB baited you into their "store" with advertised "enhanced" trade in values and then decided to reneg days later, at least, file a FTC complaint

Pixel 9's not currently working with TracFone
The trade-in value will show as the BASE VALUE, but that does not include the promotion value. You will still get the promotion value assuming you were going to get it per your order receipt, so do not worry.

This is a nobrainer for me. I paid $650 for Pixel 8 Pro last year with all the trade in cost + watch that I sold.

TBH i dont think its worth it but flippers will flip them on facebook or ebay or swappa.
I wont deal with that shit.
they likely think its worth it until 400 for the iphone 12 pro when its not really worth it.
especially when 13 is 300 dollars.
and 13 pro is 400 right now.
making it not worth doing the deal currently IMO.
Unless you can get cheap iphone 12 pros I would say let the flippers flip.

if you do it at 400 dollars -the 200 dollars bb gift card 200 per device.

200 bb gift card plus what ever you flip the 9 pro for.
plus whatever taxes and fees.
probably about 200 profit per phone is about avg.
same can be said of pixel 9 80 dollars paid if you minus bb gift ard
and can sell it for 300-400 likely.
I think profit margins on pixel 9 are higher but is limited by metro pcs and porting numbers
limiting the flippers. with iphone 12 pro there is no limit unless they limit making new accounts
so flippers are taking advantage of this.
personally speaking would recommend doing the pixel 9 deal if you want margin and volume prices will drop like a rock.
instead if you want pixel 9 pro for yourself though then yes you can do it. but dont do it for profit.
Essentially about 300-400 for the new phone IMO. so its like 100-150 profit per phone in the end if they dont sell them quick.
the pixel 9 pro will likely end at 500-600 dollars per phone so it will be a profit of 100 dollars and 200 in best buy gift cards.

others may need to flip the BB gift card losing 15% value. I still havent used up my 1000 bb gift cards 5+ yrs ago im only down to 500 dollars.
Its really hard for me to use my gift cards as a result and am losing the value to inflation because everything is over priced I cannot justify myself over paying.
so the 200 bb gift card isn't that valuable to me at all.
TLDR Summary
Probably not worth it to flip, lots of steps for such a small margin, killer personal deal. and bestbuy should cancel mass buyers
