09/13 - Trade in processing has slowed down, a trade in that was delivered to Chino,
CA on 09/06 wasn't processed until 09/13, representing ~5 business days from delivery to assessment. Kentucky was processing trades faster, with a ~1 business day turnaround reported on 09/12 when the delivery was made on 09/11.
09/05 - Best Buy no longer issues "trade in kits" (boxes with prepaid labels). Once your Pixel 9 Pro is delivered and the Best Buy order status shows delivered (their system lags behind UPS), you'll get an email with the next steps. You need to go into the Order Details page on BB.com, sign in and then you can print a pre-paid UPS label for the trade-in. Save a copy of the tracking number for your records and make sure it gets scanned in to the UPS system when you drop it off.
Trade ins will likely be delivered in bulk, but UPS should still show a delivered scan. IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR THE TRADE INS TO BE PROCESSED, DO NOT FREAK OUT IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN INSTANTLY. As of 09/04, they were processing trades that were delivered on 08/29 - so at least 4 business days. It WILL take time with the volume of P9P orders and trade ins.
If BB baited you into their "store" with advertised "enhanced" trade in values and then decided to reneg days later, at least, file a FTC complaint

Pixel 9's not currently working with TracFone
The trade-in value will show as the BASE VALUE, but that does not include the promotion value. You will still get the promotion value assuming you were going to get it per your order receipt, so do not worry.

Apple - iPhone 12 Pro 5G 128GB - Graphite (Verizon)
I did not stipulate any carrier when I filled out the trade-in phone information. I plan to buy the phone on eBay or Amazon, do I have to buy a Verizon phone?
TIA!
I mean, did anyone get ahold of CS agent that was able to double check?
Because when I look at this :
- I see a suspiciously low price which doesn't make sense (as the newer Iphones aren't as highly valued).
-Some websites tell you the bonus is 760 USD (which doesn't match the 769 USD needed for this phone).
-The CS agent tells me it's a price mistake (though he did not seem reliable).
-No one seemed to confirm nor call or talk with bestbuy employees to confirm the price when it seems to be the obvious action before going through the hassle.
-The trade-in value has been inconsistent when you read the slickdeal comments which really makes you wonder (and there really shouldn't be any reason for price to be changing and having to do "tricks").
-There has been other glitches such as not having the other providers available (only verizon show up now by default).
All that combined really makes me wonder.
A simple confirmation from Bestbuy or Google would be great.
(I also highly doubt it would make a difference at this scale asking CS, for smaller deals that don't require a trade in I obviously wouldn't ask CS as there is a much higher chance for them to cancel).
"Suspiciously low price"? That's the promotion, it literally says New Pixel 9 phones as low as $0 with pre-order and qualifying trade in on their home page. Not sure where you're getting your trade in values, but it says to estimate your trade-in value on the phone's product page.
I see options of ATT, TMobile etc only

Model:
MGLN3LL/A
This is very specific but nothing relevant when choosing tade-in.
Interested in knowing as I traded in an iPhone 12 a couple of weeks ago for a Pixel 8 and now I'm starting to kick myself for not being patient even though in the grand scheme of things I only paid $4.28 after trade in (phone price after trade in + taxes). My plans are a bit different though with the Pixel 8 as I plan on trading it in for the new iPhone in an installment plan when they come out next month for my Father, (I know installment plans suck) but he loves iOS and doesn't want to move to Android. The Pixel 8 is worth more than an iPhone 12 in installment payments through AT&T's trade in values, so he's daily driving an iPhone 11 in the meantime till next month.
