09/13 - Trade in processing has slowed down, a trade in that was delivered to Chino,
CA on 09/06 wasn't processed until 09/13, representing ~5 business days from delivery to assessment. Kentucky was processing trades faster, with a ~1 business day turnaround reported on 09/12 when the delivery was made on 09/11.
09/05 - Best Buy no longer issues "trade in kits" (boxes with prepaid labels). Once your Pixel 9 Pro is delivered and the Best Buy order status shows delivered (their system lags behind UPS), you'll get an email with the next steps. You need to go into the Order Details page on BB.com, sign in and then you can print a pre-paid UPS label for the trade-in. Save a copy of the tracking number for your records and make sure it gets scanned in to the UPS system when you drop it off.
Trade ins will likely be delivered in bulk, but UPS should still show a delivered scan. IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR THE TRADE INS TO BE PROCESSED, DO NOT FREAK OUT IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN INSTANTLY. As of 09/04, they were processing trades that were delivered on 08/29 - so at least 4 business days. It WILL take time with the volume of P9P orders and trade ins.
If BB baited you into their "store" with advertised "enhanced" trade in values and then decided to reneg days later, at least, file a FTC complaint

Pixel 9's not currently working with TracFone
The trade-in value will show as the BASE VALUE, but that does not include the promotion value. You will still get the promotion value assuming you were going to get it per your order receipt, so do not worry.

Got both my pixels in November of 2022 (7 and 7 pro) and I've already had to replace the screen once on the 7pro, back camera glass twice on the 7, and now the screen is broken again on the 7pro, and the rear camera is all cloudy on the 7. I'm "stuck" with them through Verizon on a similar deal through next year, and because of that, I cannot even take advantage of anything Verizon has to offer, also, there are activation fees.
This will be my new method moving forward, buy whatever is the best trade-in value, buy new phones with trade, sell old phones, come out close to net0 without any terms. It's more work, but offers way more flexibility in terms of both phones and providers.
I have iPhone 12 on T-Mobile with physical SIM. I preordered the Pixel 9, for the $799 credit and had to pay ~$855 with tax. I want to wait for the iPhone 16, which should be available mid September. What if I wait until mid September to pick up my preorder? I get the iPhone 16, activate it with T-Mobile, wipe my iPhone 12 and trade it in at Best Buy for the Pixel 9. Sell the Pixel 9 new unopened on EBay for hopefully $700 or more. Will Best Buy hold my preorder for a few weeks? Will I void my $799 promotional trade in value? Any ideas?

Does this mean that the promotion applied is only valid until end of August and then the trade in value promotion won't be valid in early September, at the time the Pixel 9 Pro will be delivered?

I've never had any issues with my Pixels (6P, 7P, now 8p) though to be clear. You must be hard on phones.

The 7 Pro, I dropped it and shattered the glass and screen, even with a case, but I will not be buying the same brand case I have now. Then, another freak accident where i just happened to drop the phone on the upper left corner. It still works, but there is a line across the very top of the screen.
I think a lot of it is just bad luck, but being in this 36 month term with Verizon forced me into doing this deal, and I won't be going back, lol. I was looking at almost $400 just to get these two phones fixed, and that was if I did it myself. This was a no-brainer.
Its keep saying coming soon for me.. Only for Pixel 9 and Pro XL it shows preorder option.
