90% of morons on this thread will ruin the deal by asking dumb questions to Best Buy and possibly altering them to check trade in phone in details. Just keep your mouth shut when you go there to pick up the phone

man, I don't even want to deal with all this hassle of not knowing whether a slightly different model iphone 12 pro will be cause for a rejection if I mail it it.

I'm happy with my two pixel 9's I'm trading in iphone 12's in store.

I wouldn't. The Samsung would be far superior. An S23 and OnePlus 12r both perform far better than my Pixel 8 pro with a Tensor G3. The Tensor G4 is like Tensor G3.5, hardly an upgrade. Plus the thermals and cellular connectivity are awful.

The only reason I have Pixels is because they are super cheap and I love installing beta versions and doing Custom ROMs. I can live with compromises, but most people do not like Pixel in the day to day usage compared to Samsung, OnePlus or iPhone.
Not sure about the thermal and cellular connectivity on this P9 yet, needs more reviews

There isn't much change. Fundamentally Tenser chips have poor efficiency and bad thermals. Which seems to be true of the Tensor G4, given it's just an iterative upgrade. The modem seems to be newer, so maybe the connectivity is slightly better, but won't know for sure until the full reviews.

Regardless, the Pixel 9 won't suddenly be as snappy as Samsung or OnePlus, forget about even comparing it to an iPhone which is the leader in speed.

Maybe things will change with Pixel 10 and TSMC based processor. But then you can't count on Google to get things right the first time. Everyone thought the Pixel 6 with a new Tensor would be a game changer. It was actually quite the opposite.

I have always loved Nexus and Pixel phones. It used to be that Google were new to hardware. But now Google has been doing phones for more than a decade. If it hasn't caught up to Samsung and Apple by now , it is safe to say, it never will.

This is clearly reflected in the precipitous drop in Pixel values with time.

Well let's just wait I guess, we won't get the phone and reviews until Aug 22 anyway. They can't screw up the 4th times right? Smilie

I don't know about performance. Google Chrome is constantly freezing on my s23 ultra or crashing, and I don't like Samsung Internet UI. The phone is messy and buggy in general. I have both Google Assistant set up from a bottom left swipe and the stupid gemini which I can't disable supplanting the home button. Assistant is always half broken or not working. Gemini is slow to pop up sometimes and doesn't even dictate responses. Defeats the whole purpose if I have to read it while on the move. The 120hz frequently shows down and gets choppy on certain apps and websites. Yes "technically" the snapdragon has better benchmarks. But numbers are really useless if the experience is so poor.

I don't know what service you have. I'm kind of used to shite service as T-Mobile 5G in my area is abysmal and I'm on wifi most of the time. And another problem with my s23 ultra. The wifi cries constantly when the signal is poor and doesn't switch the cellular properly or hold onto wifi, so I can sometimes lose Internet unless I toggle on/off wifi. It's not my home wifi. No issues with s22u and my previous s20u. Just this garbage s23u.

Have you tried to factory reset your phone? This is why I hate Samsung phones lol. You better off go for iPhone. For Android, Xiaomi and Oneplus do make decent phones if you don't mind Chinese phones ofc

I selected iPhone 12 Pro Graphite Verizon and the trade in confirmation says: MGLN3LL/A

My phones model number is: MGK13LL/A (That is a match for Graphite 12 Pro Verizon)

It appears MGLN3LL/A is Unlocked from Apple Store, and mine is Verizon. So Best buy has goofed something up????

Any advice on what to do?

As far as I can tell (and maybe I'm wrong), but they can't get a model number unless they sign into the phone with an Apple ID, which I don't think they will do.
You don't need to sign in, but you do need to setup the phone and at least select a bunch of maybe later sort of things. It takes a few minutes of jumping through hoops to setup the phone with minimal settings without signing into anything.

Just snagged a Pixel 9 Pro 256GB obsidian by playing the refresh game (clicking different colors to refresh).
Had multiple in cart/checkout and then they went OOS before I could complete the ordering process at different stages before this one.
So still live if you're lucky and quick on the draw.

lol 😎

Glad I got one but very displeased with Best Buys handling of online orders of in-demand products. They seem to let multiple users add to cart simultaneously and then once the product is purchased, just let the other users fail during the checkout process.

Deal still works. Just ordered a Black Pixel 9 pro 128gb moments ago. You have to get lucky and keep refreshing the page to get the yellow "preorder" button and I checked every hour or so.
Like 4 times I clicked the preorder button and after I got it into the cart, the next step the order was gone lol. I finally got it to work tho.
