09/16 - Chino is still taking ~ 1 week to process trades. A device that was delivered on 09/09 was processed on 09/16 in the morning, there was another report of a device delivered on 09/10 being processed on 09/16 in the afternoon. Kentucky was at ~3 business days (delivered on 09/12, processed in the evening of 09/16)

09/13 - Trade in processing has slowed down, a trade in that was delivered to Chino,
CA on 09/06 wasn't processed until 09/13, representing ~5 business days from delivery to assessment. Kentucky was processing trades faster, with a ~1 business day turnaround reported on 09/12 when the delivery was made on 09/11.

09/05 - Best Buy no longer issues "trade in kits" (boxes with prepaid labels). Once your Pixel 9 Pro is delivered and the Best Buy order status shows delivered (their system lags behind UPS), you'll get an email with the next steps. You need to go into the Order Details page on BB.com, sign in and then you can print a pre-paid UPS label for the trade-in. Save a copy of the tracking number for your records and make sure it gets scanned in to the UPS system when you drop it off.

Trade ins will likely be delivered in bulk, but UPS should still show a delivered scan. IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR THE TRADE INS TO BE PROCESSED, DO NOT FREAK OUT IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN INSTANTLY. As of 09/04, they were processing trades that were delivered on 08/29 - so at least 4 business days. It WILL take time with the volume of P9P orders and trade ins.

If BB baited you into their "store" with advertised "enhanced" trade in values and then decided to reneg days later, at least, file a FTC complaint

Pixel 9's not currently working with TracFone

The trade-in value will show as the BASE VALUE, but that does not include the promotion value. You will still get the promotion value assuming you were going to get it per your order receipt, so do not worry.

Spend 2 hrs here at BB store. Couldn't process the order because the trade in value for iPhone 12 is higher than the P9. I think probably because I used my $20 reward certificate but they say that wasn't the problem. Other than that, not sure what else to say. Had to cancel my pick up in order to get my trade in device back. Probably need to complain to BBB.

Went to best buy for pixel 9, they said there was a mistake and their system shows 145 value for an iPhone 12, and there were a few people like me there.. Did anyone actually get a full refund for iPhone 12?

Nope. My trade-in had a fair amount of scratches/scuffing at the top and bottom of the screen and it was no problem. The model number didn't matter either. They took 5 seconds to verify that it was an iPhone 12 and continued the transaction.

Just picked up my pixel 9 today looking at my credit card transaction I realized that Best Buy never charged my card prior to pick up therefore no refund is needed. I got the phone completely free. Not sure if this is a single error or anyone else have similar situation because it was clearly stated on the app that full amount will be charged until pick up. But my card was never charged.

Got a Pixel 9 with this trade-in today on Long Island, NY. The process in store was flawless. $108 more since I went with the Pixel 9 256gb. I was not able to change to the XL and retain the trade in benefit from this deal so I stuck with the Pixel 9.

The 9 XL that the sales associate had fit very comfortably in my hands. It felt smaller than it was somehow. Looking back I wish I'd picked the XL at the time of pre-order instead.

I also have an iPhone 13 and the Pixel 9 can easily be mistaken for an iPhone 13 from above with the screens off.

just got back from BB with the same invoice showing 145. got on BB chat and had him confirm the full amount then saved chat. checked bank account and nothing was charged. probably will for taxes tho

Data point: just returned from picking up an online order of the P9 128GB here in NorCal; details below:

pre-order price of $869.91 ($799 +tax) was authorized to credit card (back on Aug 14), but dropped off without being charged
in-store receipt totaled $12.69, itemized as $145 for the phone, $12.69 tax on that amount, and a $145 credit for the trade-in of the iPhone 12 64GB
the bonus $649 trade-in credit from Google was applied automatically, and didn't appear on the receipt's details (and thus not taxed)
