I love this thing, and thankfully it has had no issues so far. It is insanely large and heavy...also note that it can emanate some heat as well, which works well in the winter, maybe not so much in the summer.
Ever since the 49" monsters were released, I always wanted one, and then finally bit a few months ago. Thank god this is still the big dog. If Samsung releases a 59" then its going to drive me crazy
49 samsung
49 LG
49 Dell
getting a ark gen 1 ..
but i want this one too..
dont know what to do .. decisions decisions
My issue is I'm now regretting that I didn't buy Samsung Care+ for this. I'm dreading the thought of accidental damage. It seems there is no way to purchase the policy after receiving the monitor - I tried through the website but it says I'm not eligible. I'm going to try calling Samsung today to ask.
If I can't buy it then it looks like I need to return it, eat a 5% restocking fee, and reorder. Huge hassle...
Anyway if any of you are thinking about buying it, make sure you purchase the Samsung Care+ at the time of the initial order, otherwise it seems there may be no opportunity to buy it later.
EDIT: Online chat could not help me. I called the samsung care + phone number and they confirmed for monitors you need to purchase the plan at the time of initial order.

At this point I would wait for the refresh for prices to drop again.
