They're all over Amazon.
These are just a few I've come across today. I've been trying to find a cheap replacement for the avapow I just gave to my GF. It was cheap when I got it but the prices are higher now.

Thank you for the info. Can you recommend a good one. I have a suv and sedan for use on in case
a good option is to either drive your car 20 miles or more every day, or charge the battery with a charger once every couple of weeks or a month. That's it. Then the battery will always last you 5 years.

All of these jumpers will die in year or 2. I had few in my life. And I had problems with alternator. If I used jumper few times, they always died

Fair warning. These work but should be considered unreliable. The product, charging battery packs, comes in every possible brand and option. But they all seem to become deleted after a few years. I know all the previous SD posts for what I bought are all delisted from Amazon. And the internet. So buyer beware. The no name Chinese battery expanded on me from normal USB charging after about 20 jumps and 3 years. It was always in my garage because it didn't have enough charge to actually jump my truck unless tiptop fully charged. I've seen many identical battery jumpers like this one, and the chenmung (whatever) brand I bought, magically disappear from reviews. Is this something you want to trust on the side of the road? Better than nothing I guess.

I just can't bring myself to spend $30 on one of these when I can spend $2 to $7 more and get double or triple the power. What am I missing. It seems they all start out with lower prices and then when they get a bunch of reviews the price skyrockets.
That's not true. You will absolutely not get triple of even double the starting amps as this one for $7 more.

They basically just make up the amp numbers. The one in this deal has maybe 500 amps of actual starting current.

If you actually want close to double or more the power of this, the NOCO ones are one of the few that might actually do it.

Too bad that vehicle manufacturers just don't build an emergency jump start device into the vehicle itself. Same goes for full-function dash cams.
You can replace the heavy lead acid battery in your car with a lithium (LiFePO4) version that should last over 10 years and some of them have a preservation mode that allows self jump-starts after leaving a device on. Also, lead acid has a very high self discharge rate compared to lithium, but parasitic loads are always greater if the battery is connected to the vehicle.

There is no chance this is nearly 17 Ah capacity. I just bought a different boost pack claiming 18 Ah, and I measured 2 Ah to 12v. Then the stinkin' thing wouldn't charge. Oh, and the sticker on the product says 66.6 Wh, meaning about 6 Ah, which it didn't even have that capacity. So their own sticker contradicts the advertising on Amazon.

Bunch of lying going on with all of these products, but they do come in handy.

Not suitable for extremely high temperatures or below freezing. I haven't tried under the hood of a vehicle yet, so I'm just regurgitating the common wisdom, but I have tried it inside the cabin on vehicles with excellent results (9 years so far).

All of this is besides the topic of having an emergency power source to start vehicles.

Thanks I went with the first one! It had a 50% off coupon (not sure if gimmick) so it brought down to $25 which seems cheap enough if they are all the same considering...

any good recommendations for a battery charger? as someone who works from home, i have nowhere to go to drive everyday.

Those packs are likely listed with their capacity at the voltage of the cell, that makes the math work (66wh / 18mah = 3.6v) but doesn't change the results.

Pretty standard business practice get reviews and name recognition then raise price to a profitable margin.

Kia Niro HEV and Hyundai Ioniq HEV do have self jump-start. Their 12V battery is a smaller lithium battery attached to the high voltage battery. When the 12V battery reset button is pressed, the high voltage battery jump-starts the 12V battery (also re-connects the 12V battery as the car automatically disconnect the 12V when its charge is too low to prevent damage). See attachment.
And then for their newer EVs (Ioniq5, EV6, etc) they got rid of this feature and I have to carry a jump starter for my EV6 due to the notorious 12v battery death issue.

Yes, only the HEVs have this feature. PHEVs and EVs even of the same series (Niro/Ioniq) use normal 12V batteries. Not sure why🤷.

This one says 4000A but who knows if true. Claims 66Wh battery according to the label seen in the product video. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D8LL71JH $24 after 40% coupon.

Surprised all EVs aren't 16v by now

Two of mine swelled up after this record summer. Time to get a replacement.
