Have this knife.. see pictures. all the scratches on the blade are from the factory. the two holes on the back used to have a clip. (which broke in my pocket) the assist open is good but about 1 out of 4 times it does not fully lock when open.. which is dangerous. only used it a hand full of times and you can see the tip broke. I think while opening a cardboard box. cheap paperweight knife. save you money and buy something better. BAD design on locking mechanism
Kershaw's cheap, poor-quality chi-com offerings are seriously dragging the name down for me. And the pricing structure on their USA-made offerings is ridiculous, inflation issues aside. You used to get a good, American-made Kershaw pocketknife for around $60.
They've lost the plot.

agree with that, better look for crkt or ganzo for budget options
I've had this knife for 6 months now. And I've had zero issues with mine. It works so good that I don't carry it for a work knife. The feel is what makes me Ponder buying another one. It feels absolutely great in the hand. I've had no assisted spring issues. I still have my tip cuz I don't use it as a screwdriver. Pocket clip works as it should. Comes perfectly Sharp. I don't know what to say about the Finish. I have no scratches on it. The metal is brushed from the factory. I would definitely recommend this knife to my friends. Especially for the price
Had this knife for about 3 weeks before returning it. I had bought it originally several months ago for 19.99, but I really didn't like the spring assisted design and it was so hard to fold the blade back in one handed.

I think you can still find a USA made Kershaw for around $60 if you wait for a sale. That said, telling deals hunters to spend more than twice the money for something better is not exactly very slick. A lot of folks don't want to spend $60 on a pocket knife, and for those non-enthusiasts a $25 Kershaw in 8cr13MoV may be the prefect blade.

Or a Ganzo Firebird in D2, but I digress.
Can literally buy a katana, bastard sword, folding knife, etc. But if it has any insta-kill function - fuggedaboutit.
