I just can't imagine a situation where powered pruning shears are that much more advantageous to you know the old fashioned do it by hand thing. The reason is I can't imagine it taking a lot less time, and the amount of effort put into cutting through a branch with a good pair of shears, it doesn't seem like it's a whole lot.

and if the effort with large leverage ever was a whole lot, I can only imagine that the little battery powered Gizmo would fail there.

It doesn't take a lot of imagination, look up a video of one in action. They're really fast.

I funny enough looked into one of these. issue is its a big tool so if you're getting low with roots it seems like its a pain to maneuver.

Also, I have a million Milwaukee batteries and chargers because of deals like this. Wish there was a tool only option without having to sell unwanted items on eBay.

If you have a bunch of rose bushes, yeah, this is great. I may have agreed 20 years ago. but mid 40's and pruning for over an hour is a real pain, this definitely helps with fall cleanup and speeds up the process.

Really??
There are people with arthritis, people with limited strength (due to being old or sickly), or those that just plain have a TON to cut... plenty of justification for a tool like this. Just because you can't see yourself personally needing it doesn't mean others can't benefit from it.

The thing weights 4lbs with a battery, good luck having arthritis and trying to maneuver this.
