UPDATE (8/28) - Last day for this deal. The phones listed below still works for trading.
UPDATE (8/25) - No new updates for trade ins. For those picking up their online orders, don't ask what your values are. Just take it and check your online invoice right after taking the phone. If it shows things are zero'd out, you're good and your refund will show up in a few days tops.
UPDATE (8/23) - Thanks to user SmartMice845 for pics of the latest trade in values (basically everything is devalued except the Samsung 23/24 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro/Max.

UPDATE (8/22) - From more reporting, it would seem the entire iPhone 13 lineup is devalued (base, pro, pro max). Thus for anyone who still wants in on this deal, only the 14 series and Samsung equivalents are good. Obviously those who already purchased have locked in the rates. Those who ordered online from the start of the promotion for instore pickup seem to be getting the full value without any additional tax.
UPDATE (8/21) - More than one person are reporting devaluation of the iPhone 13 > PXL 9 trade in so careful tonight if you're still planning on doing that. The iPhone 13 Pro Max > PXL 9 Pro XL is still alive.
Devices that were pre-ordered ship to home earlier are being shipped.
I actually have a Pixel 9 delivered just now [imgur.com] from an instore pre-order on 8/16!
UPDATE (8/20) - It appears Best Buy have no intentions of fulfilling the "SteveIrwin" iPhone 12 $654 coupon for those who had it zero'd out on the eve of the 18th. Which is crazy they named it that since he's a famous Zoologist who died, so naming it that to say the coupon is dead is crazy. Anyways, if you still have it, I would try to get your trade in back. My store's manager kept my iPhone 12 in a separate location because he saw issues with the coupon. Returned it to me and cancelled the trade in today.
UPDATE (8/19) - looks like quite a few people are reporting their online orders getting cancelled, especially those with multiple orders or trading in an iPhone 12. No one who reported successfully trading in instore has reported cancellations yet. If you have an online order that isn't with an iPhone 12 trade in, perhaps trying going instore to "lock in" your trade and cancel the online one.
UPDATE (8/18) - they have fully devalued the iPhone 12 series. Those who attempted to trade in 8/18 at night were met with a coupon that doesn't work after they traded in their iPhone 12. Will see how Best Buy resolve a traded in phone but the coupon doesn't work.
Other models listed below should still have elevated values instore. The updated terms online some people have posted is not the same terms that are present for instore documentation. Best Buy reps have an updated PDF every day and as of last night, still include everything EXCEPT the iPhone 12.
This is a previously posted deal, but trade in values online have been reduced. Higher trade in values still work in-store. Worked for me both yesterday and today.
Steps:
- Have one of the following trade ins. Carrier locked phones are fine as long as they aren't blacklisted. YMMV on exact carrier models and colors matching but I and many others have had no issues trading in a locked Straight Talk iPhone 12 and told them Verizon or Metro and T-Mobile (remove your SIM card when trading in):
Pixel 9:
Galaxy S23 Ultra ($799)
Galaxy S24 Ultra ($799)
Galaxy S24+ ($799)
Pixel 9 Pro:
Galaxy S24 Ultra ($999)
iPhone 14 Pro ($999)
iPhone 14 Pro Max ($999)
Pixel 9 Pro XL:
Galaxy S23 Ultra ($1,099)
Galaxy S24 Ultra ($1,099)
iPhone 14 Pro ($1,099)
iPhone 14 Pro Max ($1,099)
- Take your trade in to the store and ask them you want to pre-order the Pixel with said phone (don't ask for trade in value yet)
- They will ask for your phone's model and capacity and will check the IMEI that's physically on the phone (on the back of Samsung's and on the SIM tray of iPhones with SIM card slots)
- Let them proceed and they'll eventually get to this screen here:
https://imgur.com/a/3tKD8kv
- Do not let them skip that screen. They will need to input a coupon code in order for this to work (they have a booklet for the code) -> Others have mentioned the code is just "GOOGLE"
- They'll print out the info, gift card for trade in value and coupon is deducted directly
- After you confirm the promo trade in value, proceed to sign away and give them your phone
- For some states like mine (WA), taxes is paid only on the after coupon price

Additional info:
Phones listed should only have the value for their respective tiers. An iPhone 13 for instance will not have $799 value when trying to get a Pixel 9 Pro or Pro XL.
The $100/$200 gift cards come AFTER you make the purchase so you cannot use it to pay off the taxes. Gift cards are stackable though so if you do more than one trade in, you can use the $100/$200 gift card to pay for taxes on the second or third trade in.
You can use the previous threads to find data points from what others have mentioned are trade in values for different phones. I only listed the ones that corresponds with the models to make them free. Online trade in values are decreased so it's not a good data point for how much your phone would actually cost.

* Sign up for the free one-month Prime membership. Metro should text you a link to do it.
* Log into your Metro account, and you can order a 2nd phone which gets a $30-$40 discount on the plan. You can also order the Samsung A9+ tablet. If the deal on it is still live, the tablet is free with a $20 Data Only plan. Use the tablet or sell it sealed on Ebay for $120 or more. Many people buy it to use with their T-mo service.
* If you plan to order more phones or tablets as Add A Line, you'll need to be able to log into your Metro account which requires a security code texted to the i12. So before trading the i12 to BB, there's a function in the MyMetro app to transfer service from the i12 to another inactive Metro phone if you have one, or buy a Metro BYOP SIM and use it with a Metro compatilble phone.

Felt like CS was a load of shit. He said they don't do any promotional trade in in store at any best buys. Obviously that is different from what's being reported in this post.
For what it's worth he also quoted me only 230 dollars for the iPhone 12 pro, though that is the general trade in value minus the Google elevated value from what I suspect.
Sorry, owned outright. Reading again, I can see now how that maybe wasn't clear. I buy the new iPhone yearly, unlocked. If wife doesn't want, then I usually sell. Or in this case, wait ages to sell and get lucky with a trade-in promo like this.
