Good luck if you buy. The Hisense s&d unit I got was trashed and had severe sun damage/discoloration. Then I got to repack and haul it to ups . Such a headache

This is a white-labeled Midea duo (also sold as a Cooper and Hunter and Whynter and other brands). The Toshiba is exclusive to Home Depot. It's a good unit. I got the Cooper and Hunter for my garage but returned it because the dual hose intake/exhaust didn't reach my window. There are no extension kits for it either. Also, this unit is heavy AF so keep that in mind. Reviews I saw were pretty good fwiw.
Do you remember how long the hose is? I didn't see it specified on Woot.

I bought one of these for $500 back in May. Absolutely love it. The app is great, I set up a schedule to turn it on about an hour before I got to bed. I then have a sleep schedule programmed in it that can slowly raise the temp through the night.
I have a similar Midea unit w/o heat, and also a window inverter unit. Used the app to turn units on/off, but didn't know there was a scheduling. Thanks so much!

I got this refurbished from woot and after a few months I'm getting an error that it needs more refrigerant. Not sure to toss or what.

I got an assurion warranty for my Toshiba sinhle hose from about year and a half ago. I filed a claim when it began having issues with temperature sensing.. Assurion paid out literally the moment I sent the claim. I was quite surprised. Send me an Amazon e-giftcard.

Guess all I'm saying is always get the warranty as these things will die sooner or later.

Really good price, but these have been a lottery in the past. I got a couple of decent ones from the deals in the past, but many people got completed busted ones.
yep, i am not taking a chance to get an ac that could have been powered on w/o waiting after being hauled horizontally.

I bought the same unit about a year ago, didn't drain it (use only AC, not heat). It is inverter and based on my energy monitor it starts soft, no spikes like regular AC. Works really well, it is quiet for a portable AC, and overall super happy.

The media at Costco, basically looks like the same, is 299.97 now in store at Costco
Which Costco did you find it at that price? Wonder if it's regional.

How do you add the warranty? do you file the claim under Amazon? there's no link for Asurion on the product page, how would you know if it's eligible?

who knows. Got one from woot 2 yrs ago basically new.
Item description says new but then it says this. Geniuses can't have it both ways, is it scratch and dent or are you selling a used product? If used you'll find cheaper on FB Marketplace.

Yes it's a dual hose, another thing is that it has a pump to pump water out.
There's other post here .
