Good luck if you buy. The Hisense s&d unit I got was trashed and had severe sun damage/discoloration. Then I got to repack and haul it to ups . Such a headache

Is the return shipping back to woot, under the 90 warranty, paid by woot? This is a heavy item. Is it similar to returning an Amazon item at Whole Foods or will UPS come pick it up from home?

Can we not extend the warranty with Assurion? I made a purchase. But then saw a comment in the woot thread and someone mentioned no Assurion like. I don't think I can role the dice without a guarantee.. Does anyone know?

I bought a single hose Toshiba a year and a half ago and it stopped blowing cold consistently this summer..

How do you add the warranty? do you file the claim under Amazon? there's no link for Asurion on the product page, how would you know if it's eligible?
I just made a post about that. I didn't read the product page fully. I'm not seeing the warranty add being mentioned. I don't think I can role the dice without it.

What is Woot's return policy?
You may return most purchases within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Some orders qualify for a Fast Refund. If your order qualifies, then Woot will process the refund one business day after you drop off the package with the carrier. If your order doesn't qualify, we will process your refund within 3-5 business days after the package arrives to our warehouse. If the item being returned is not damaged or defective, we'll deduct the prepaid cost of return shipping from the refund.

Since I need 2 units replaced, that's potentially $16k that the government will cover for me. I'm happy to keep buying portable AC's and waiting for that chunk of change, lol.

Really good price, but these have been a lottery in the past. I got a couple of decent ones from the deals in the past, but many people got completed busted ones.

Don't forget the 10% cb
I lost the lottery last time. Thank God I bought a warranty from amazon or I would have had a $400, 80lb paper weight.

What warranty did you get, and how much did you pay for it?

Just invest more and buy a new LG dual inverter ac. I got one and It's worth it. Toshiba is now Chinese brand and Midea is overhyped in my opinion.

I bought the Midea version last year for $450 from Costco after one of my central AC units went out. It's been fantastic - absolutely no issues. A couple of months ago my other central AC unit died. I was lucky to find a beat up unit at a local outlet store for $150. It has a big crack in the housing (looks like someone with hulk strength tried to pull the hose out too far) but it blows cold. Really thinking about getting one more, as that would cover all 2,200+ sqft of my home (tri level condo). I currently have one unit each on the 1st and 3rd floors and they're both sufficient. I should have bit when Woot had the Midea ones refurbished for $199 a while back.

These have been absolutely fantastic to hold me over until Inflation Reduction Act rebates go live in my state (CA). Since I need 2 units replaced, that's potentially $16k that the government will cover for me. I'm happy to keep buying portable AC's and waiting for that chunk of change, lol.

I had this problem too. Luckily I have a few wood platforms that I built out of 2x4's (I jack my car onto them when changing my oil since I don't trust jack stands in earthquake regions). I just put the unit on top of a ~12" tall platform and was able to get the extra reach I needed. I also had to make my own window plate out of a sheet of acrylic since the window I wanted to use was narrower than the included plates would fit, but still wide enough to fit the hose.
I've been curious about the Inflation Reduction Act in CA. Any idea on when it will go live?

Which Costco did you find it at that price? Wonder if it's regional.
It's not regional, I'd say about 90% store are selling them at 299.97, if the store still have it

That unit doesn't do heating. BTU might be slightly different also. But definitely no heat on the Costco one.
Right no heat

All the ones near me have then for $450. I guess that's what you get for living in an area with $1.3M 3br condos. Lol.

I have the Midea version bought from Costco. Unit should be sealed against the differential pressure but it is not. You can feel the draft of air coming inside the room's door when this unit is on. This creates negative pressure which defeats the purpose of "dual" hose.
