Not really, the movements might feel smoother and fluid but you won't get any difference or benefit with higher refresh rate in media consumption and photo editing.
You should look for a higher brightness and 100% color gamut (Adobe RGB > DCI-P3 > sRGB).

This monitor/display has 99% sRGB which is absolutely fine for photo-editing as a hobby. For professional use, yes, you'd need a much better display.
Currently, at 199 you wouldn't find a better big display than this.

I don't game and primarily use my pc for media consumption along with photo editing. Would I see any benefit going with a higher refresh rate monitor rather than this 60HZ monitor?

In your case, it's not the refresh rate but the panel type that you should be focusing on. IPS panel may better suit your needs.

Hmm OK, thank you. I imagine a monitor with higher brightness and 100% color gamut will cost much more than $200. Photography is only a hobby so this monitor is probably good enough for my needs.

IPS for photography or media consumption? It looks like this is a VA panel.

More media framerates divide evenly into 120hz than 60hz so you may get some minor benefits there (no judder depending on how you are playing the media) along with just a smoother experience. But the price difference is pretty large on 4k screens between 60hz and 120hz that it doesn't really seem worth it for general use.

Theoretically higher framerates are supposed to reduce eyestrain. However, I have both a 60Hz and 165Hz and I have never had any issues with eye strain. If all things are equal I would go with the higher refresh rate (seeing as your not gaming) but if you could save money going with a lower refresh rate I personally would.

Got this monitor last year for this price as a temporary holdover until a good deal on a 32" 4k OLED is available.

Picture is great head on, but washes out quickly at an angle. Mine has a few clusters of dead/dim pixels along the edge (dozens of pixels in total) that look like fingerprints that I can't wipe off. The issue wasn't bad enough for me to go through the effort of exchanging or returning, but be warned that Samsung's quality control is abysmal.

Same here, the new 4k oled look great. The ultra wide oleds might be good for gaming but I'd like the extra height and resolution for work

Photography is why people pay thousands of dollars for a monitor and then calibrate their entire work flow. If your monitor isn't high quality AND calibrated how are you using photoshop? You have to know what the true colors are to make prints or display the image on other devices.

Agree for the most part. Calibration is key, don't necessarily need to spend a ton on a monitor.

Yeah, that's more than enough for indoor office usage.
