This is the lowest the Sheepdog and Drop Bear with clutch lock have ever been, both HIGHLY recommended by myself. Tired of seeing those Kershaw deals hit front page when every one of these are infinitely better knives & materials . They have also been doing flash sales 60% off basically monthly. tmThey aren't getting posted here on SD often but they publish the schedule for their flash sales on their IG page

This is asinine. A pocket knife is the single most useful tool a man can own.

You would be surprised how useful a pocket knife is.

I've only ever cut myself with a knife once, and it was while screwing around with a Mini Sheepdog. Great knife, although not my favorite shape. It's my backup to my EDC. At this price, considering getting some just as random birthday or Christmas presents.

*I like bigger knives because I grew up in the Rambo and Crocodile Dundee era.

I've had the Kizer C01c Carbon Fiber Black Ki4488A3 since June 13 2023.
I use it multiple times daily. Boxes, food, plants... It stays on my pocket. Haven't had to sharpen it once. Blade still looks and feels perfect. Sv35n blade.
Grippy carbon fiber handle.
The opening, locking, and closing action work great. I've never cut myself. Easy one handed opening and closing- very important to me.
Deep carry.
It's a pretty big blade but I've got no complaints.

He might mean the style of blade. I'm frankly stumped on why I would want this shape of blade myself.
I think it's just a more durable tip.

I'm a little leery of buying directly from Kizer after reading their rtn/refund policy. I'd only buy if offered on Amazon with their easy returns in case there was some problem.

Depending on the sale on Amazon you might have more of a chance of having a problem. I've had a number of knife orders from them with issues and sometimes because it's discontinued they don't have more stock to send a replacement, but I have never had an issue with knives bought anywhere else including direct from Kizer. I bet Amazon doesn't check returns and just turn around and sell them again so when it's the last few on clearance there's a higher chance it's a unit with problems.

I would just say consider the source. Clearly a lot of people are just opinionated on here but after joining the knife subreddits I found the ones that seem to know their stuff here are also active on there with more chiming in. I figure you might as well go there where it's focused on knives instead of even these threads here where a lot of people aren't going to consider good deals because it's a certain brand and give no reason. I can respect when they don't like something made in China and openly say that but we've seen it a thousand times already and people already know where it's made.

I see some knives on Ebayfor the same price with free shipping even for single knife (f.e. from this seller https://www.ebay.com/str/mojaveoutdoor). On site from post you need 100 order to get free shipping.
kizer offers freeship on orders over 49, this ebay seller also offers freeship but ebay charges taxes.... for those who wanna grab the full size Sheepdog 154cm, this ebay seller is the one

The Kizer Degnan Mini Roach Liner Lock Olive Green G-10 has a list price of $48 on Amazon (currently with 20% off) and a list price of $75 on Kizer (currently with 50%) off.

With Amazon Prime being it's offering "next day delivery:" for free vs. $5 standard shipping on Kizer. The price comes out to close to the same on both sites with the current discounts. For $40.94 (shipping + tax included) I can have it tomorrow between 7 AM - 9 AM from Amazon or if I wait a week I get $1.50 digital credit. On the Kizer site it's $42.50 with standard shipping (3 -5 days order processing + 5 - 7 days for delivery according to the Kizer shipping T + C's).

Check both sites to see which gives you the best option for your situation. Not all knives are available on Amazon and not all are discounted even though it has the National Knife Day Sale in the Kizer store on Amazon.

I own the Rat II, it's a great starter knife, not anywhere close to the quality of any Kizer I own.

I've had problem knives from Amazon also but I've always been able to return or exchange them hassle free. But if I'm reading Kizers return policy correctly any items that are on sale are non returnable and even if full price you have to jump through hoops to do a return - and are charged $5 for shipping.
