The Intel U185H CPU [notebookcheck.net] on this is really interesting.

It has 6 P(ower) cores and 8 + 2 E(ffficiency) cores. The +2 E cores can be powered independent of the rest so the CPU can get very efficient at idle. Should have decent battery life.

The Intel U185H performs similar to the AMD 7840HS in multi core and single core tests.

This screen is fantastic. Ticks all the boxes.

I'm OK with soldered ram (LPDDR) here since it's 32GB and the intel chip is designed to make use of the faster RAM.

Just note that the RTX 4070 GPU is listed at 90W TDP which really isn't any better than a 4060 with 110W. Should still play most modern games well, but probably better at 1080 than at the native 3K resolution. Still a very competent GPU.

Very nice deal.

Thanks for this, ended up canceling the order. I don't need something ultra portable that's nerfed. Gonna wait for something else.

Intel CPU makes this worse than G14. G14 is lighter and more battery efficient. Not to mention the whole intel CPU debacle (I know this one is not impacted but it is hard to trust intel after what happened)

This ships with a 140W USB-C power adaptor which is fairly large. Similar to Dell laptops with the brick and long power cable that plugs into the brick. Given people want something more portable/conventional for travel, there's been mixed reviews about using your own 3rd party 140W charger. It doesn't deliver the same amount of power in some cases. And some people mention a popup telling you it's not an official charger every time you plug the charger in. Just something to be aware of given when traveling, it's annoying having multiple USB-C chargers.

I saw this laptop in person at Best Buy. It's actually very nice and I was tempted to get this before I made my choice with something else
