Nice, had this $5 PayPal offer and the $10 Google Pay offer on my card.
Did not get this, but I did get the $10 Google Pay offer. Oddly, I only got that on AU's card. Maybe because their card is in my Google Wallet.

When you've lost Costco and now Ebay for the same reason, you have to come up with something.

You can still use Amex thru PayPal when paying for eBay orders.

Yes, because PayPal is so far still willing to pay whatever percentage of each transaction Amex wants from them.

I think you got it twisted. PayPal is the middle man, so they get a cut of the transaction fee from each credit card that is being used through PayPal. So Amex will have to split the transaction fees with PayPal and make less.

Thanks OP, got it on my Blue Cash Preferred. This is probably due to Ebay no longer accepting Amex cards, and the way around that is paying via PayPal with your Amex card.
ebay died a long time ago. there's no reason to pay more than retail price for used items. just buy new from amazon. it's cheaper.

There is still a lot of unique stuff on eBay that Amazon doesn't carry. However, the fees and shipping are high.

Not even close to true about ebay. It depends on what you're looking for. The heart and soul of ebay has always been used items. It's like an online swap meet or thrift store. I've bought hundreds of items over the past decade with mostly good luck. I've also sold a few dozen of my own used items including electronics.
