This deal is still alive, not sure why it was mark as expired here:
https://slickdeals.net/f/17687049-oneplus-12-16gb-512gb-with-buds-pro-2-and-backpack-with-student-discount-and-any-device-trade-in?src=SiteSearchV2Algo
MSRP is $1070 ($900 phone + $180 buds pro 2)
Note: the any device any condition trade-in $100 discount, is just a Recycling Reward discount, you don't need to send in anything from comments on previous deals. I didn't get any email or shipping label asking me to send my phone in.
Here's some infos that I posted from the last deal with 40 (38+2) thumbs up and 10 thumbs down from Apple/Pixel/Samsung fanbois:
Update: remember the pixel fanbois came here to trash OnePlus? I'm reading on my OnePlus 12 about pixel 9 thermal throttling to 0.57ghz.
https://wccftech.com/tensor-g4-in...es-easily/
This is why Google gave the pixel 9 trash for free with iPhone 12 trade in because their chips are slow as turtle compared to snapdragon 8 gen 3 from last year and OnePlus 12 has better cooling system than Galaxy, you can watch the teardown on YouTube.
Update: The Phone has dual physical sim slots, when I opened the sim slot, it has sim1 and sim2 on the back. Developer mode has bootloader unlock so you can install custom ROM like newer version android after the 5 years OnePlus updates ends but I think most people would be upgrading to a better phone within 5 years and turn the old phone into a small tablet for the kids to play with.
The curved screen is not a con, it makes the phone slimmer and easier to hold for a 6.8inch screen. Now I know why reviewers on youtube are so excited about this phone calling it the flagship killer
Update: charging speed of 0 to 100% in 30 minutes is only available for the charger that comes with the phone, when I used a 100w laptop charger, it only charged 50% in 50mins so the charger that comes with the phone is special with SuperVOOC feature, the phone will only charge at 80w if it detects the OP charger and won't charge at 80W even if you use a 100W laptop charger. If you want to maximize the battery life and durability, drain it to 0% then charge it all the way up to 100% then change the settings to stop charging at 80%
Just some comparison info for those of you still deciding whether you should get 12 or 12R
1) latest snapdragon 8 gen 3 chip on 12 vs gen 2 on 12R
2) better camera on the 12 vs 12R
3) larger storage 512gb on the 12 vs 12R 256gb
4) VERY IMPORTANT FOR GAMERS: Pixelworks X7 chip on the 12 vs none on the 12R, this is something even the Samsung S24 Ultra does not have, short answer to what this chip does: gives you Nvidia DLSS on your smartphone and lets you play games at 120fps with lower battery consumption, more info about this chip's capability:
https://youtu.be/FnIT1FA8oUk?si=UFdq67bDN4swQc-M
5) no spyware on US/Global version because they use a different rom image, if they put spyware in the US/Global version then they would be shooting themselves in the foot so they wouldn't do that, you WILL get spyware on the phone if you buy the China version on aliexpress or temu so don't.
6) if you don't need the earbuds pro 2, you can sell it for $100 and bring the phone down to $520
7) UFS 4 faster storage on OP12 vs UFS 3.1 on 12R
Oneplus usually rotates promo on a weekly basis so next Monday could be a different offer for better or worse. I think this deal is as good as it gets til black Friday because if you eBay off the buds pro 2 and backpack, you are getting a snapdragon 8 gen 3 with 16gb ram and 512gb storage, flagship camera and Pixelworks DLSS chip and 80w fast charging for $500, that's better than any variant of Pixel 9 offers from Google because their inhouse chip is slow and overheats and they don't have Pixelworks DLSS chips that cater to gamers like with OP12. If you are into music, the buds pro 2 has the best sound quality at any price level meaning it outperforms more expensive earbuds in sound quality so it might be worth keeping for some people

I ordered Monday morning, OP said estimated delivery next Monday, FedEx got the package on Wednesday with estimated delivery this Friday. Ordered a white case from Ali for $3 on Monday with estimated delivery next week. OP12 comes with a screen protector so I bought the back case, not the 360 full coverage case $8 on Ali because some users said the 360 front and back case can overheat the phone since you are covering the entire phone.

Speaking of objectivity, is the camera and software in this phone superior to the Pixel 7, 8, or 9 Pro? Because I could not care less about literally everything else if the pictures aren't amazing. This is too much money to spend on a phone that doesn't offer a killer camera and software combo.

More likely, though, is that people have different priorities and rants like the OP's is ridiculous.

A similar 12R with student discounts could be had under $400.
