Welcome to Slickdeals. That's how you convince yourself that you come out on top while in reality you ended up throwing money on multiple watches you didn't need and wasting a bunch of time in the trade-in process. #s

Watch7 is $255 with EDU/EPP on samsung, plus $200 trade-in value with a watch4 classic. So net like $130 for a watch7 after trading in this watch4?

Do these watches have golf gps apps? My Garmin is getting a little old and doesn't hold its charge like it used to. But the native golf app on Garmin is pretty nice.
Did some reading. Looks like they allow you download 3rd party golf apps but there's nothing really built specifically for golf.

I've heard golfers rave about Garmins and while I'm tempted by this deal, as someone who's never had a smart watch, I think I'll hold off for a Garmin golf watch unless someone can convince me that it's all basically the same

What does everyone think of the battery life reviews showing roughly 1 day of usage before needing to be charged?

I haven't bought many smart watches in my lifetime, except for off-brand ones that lasted about 4-5 days between charging.

Not sure if charging every day is standard, or if this watch is considered subpar for battery life.

I have the watch 6, and it is every day to every other day charging. This is obviously dependent on the features enabled constantly. So, given the age of this watch, I'm guessing not much different.

Every bad review seemed to be before the first week of August. A couple weeks ago people said they patched the watch and the biggest complaint (battery life) - wasn't bad. So for $140, I decided to pull the trigger on one... I've had mine for over a week and it was only on the first day of use (setup and tons of use/customization) that the battery life seemed to be less than a day. Now that I'm a week in, I get a full day in at around 40-60% battery remaining.

Impressed with the 7, but it's my first galaxy watch, so I have nothing to compare it to.
Wow, I sent mine back couldn't even get a day out of it. Put my old vivoactive 4 back on still lasts a week which I was trading in. Was not impressed with it at all, you needed like 3 apps to do anything. I have an s24U so would expect it to be easier and more integrated.

Interesting. 9:30pm and I'm at 57%.
Not saying it's the best watch. My first, so I don't really know much about that. Just that the biggest complaint people had was the battery and I don't seem to have the same issue. I enjoy the watch7, so if there's better stuff out there for android, I'd definitely be interested.

If the purpose of your smartwatch is to act as a golf watch there is nothing that would beat Garmin.. there are 3rd party app that would allow you to integration with smartwatch for pro version annual subscription but overall even that would not beat the experience Garmin watches would provide you on golf course

I picked up a Huawei watch fit 3 and it seemed to have the batt life but for some stupid reason you cannot change the font and it is too small for my old eyes. Also being in the US they disable some functions so you have to play games to get into their store. If it werent for the font issue it would be a great watch. So i will stick w/ garmin at least for now which is overpriced and the battery lifespan is maybe 2 years from my last 2.

I traded in both of my Galaxy Watch 5s for the 7s. I've been very pleased with the 7. Quick with longer battery.

I'm tempted to get this to use with my iPhone. I already have an Apple Watch that I don't wear daily. I like to wear my watch to tell time, so I don't care too much for the smart features. Tho having a digital watch so I can mess around with the watch face sounds fun.

Is this watch like an unlocked phone that can be used on any network? The apple watch can only be activated with specific carriers.

Has anyone had luck activating this on Verizon on a stand-alone plan?

If you look at the negative feedbacks, most complaints are because they are passing off used as "new".
