Control the flow of time to solve subtle platform puzzles in this update of the indie classic "Braid," featuring refreshed artwork and seriously in-depth creator commentary. Travel from a city house through a series of interconnected worlds where time behaves strangely, searching for an elusive Princess. Along the way you'll explore memories and regrets that still haunt you. This Anniversary Edition remaster of the award-winning platformer contains fully repainted high-resolution graphics, new sound effects and extensive audio commentary.

Offer ends August 26.

I bought this for this price a few weeks ago. I played the original back in the 360 days, and this wasnt awful, but the improvements aren't much, and the commentary from this dev I tried to listen to some and found it not too interesting.

I cant be too mad at $5, but make sure you really want this if you get it. It was cheap enough for me to order at this price even though it wasn't something on my wishlist.

Also side note, alot of people on Rock Paper Shotgun dont like this dev because of his rants on twitter (or was it IG? Dont know for sure).

Played Braid back in the day on 360, and loved it. It has so many epiphany moments, that trigger pure joy in your mind. I remember I finished the game and told a friend how I loved the ending and he asked "But did you get all the stars". Stars? what stars? so of course, I replayed it and found another layer of the game I got to peel back. The one thing that annoyed me was if you messed up you could not get the first star again without replaying, but that too was part of the game's message of consequences of our choices. It truly is an art game, that understands what makes games good or bad. No wonder it was the best-selling game on Xbox 360 Arcade.

Held out for years for the anniversary edition. It was pretty much a complete overhaul in graphics including paint effects. I've been listening to the Braid Anniversary Edition Podcast series on Youtube (I guess it's on multiple audio streaming platforms). It's worth a listen even if you don't intend to buy the game.

I really wish Braid Anniversary edition sold better because the profits are used to fund Jai, and I think it is by far the most revolutionary data-oriented programming language most developers didn't even know they needed. If you want to see the motivation for Jai, Jonathan Blow's videos will make it clear.

It's funny, there's an article/video somewhere with the dev complaining about his sales on this title, but it being free with netflix might boost awareness, but it doesn't boost current sales numbers, but he also would have gotten some payment from Netflix

He did say that it was profitable, but that the sales were horrible. That lead to a pause on Jai development, because it's not enough profit to pay for a full-time dev/devs on the new programming language. I may stand corrected, but he sunk $10 million into that project. I do think it's a very important and relevant development, so it kinda sucks that it's on pause

As a complete novice when it comes to Jai, or even programming in general, I have no idea how strong of a system it is, but one would think if it is as revolutionary as Blow claims, he should be able to attract funding, if not from commercial interests, then from Successful Devs that would benefit from its creation. Am I missing something? (not trying to argue, just curious)

Jon Blow wants to make Jai free with the most liberal open-source license possible. He won't make any money off it, it's a passion project fueled by the lack of a proper programming language for high performance game programming. He won't make it a commercial venture and its unlikely he will accept outside money, because I suspect he does not want to lose control of his biggest project yet. It would appeal to developers of high-performance computational code such as game engines, computational geometry, high-speed trading and embedded devices. So, while I consider this important it is not a language of broad appeal.
