Southwest - Lowest R/T SAN-MCI 11/06/24 to 11/09/24 $399.96

United - Same dates, Lowest fare is $238.
Delta - $238
American - $231

Then there's Spirit if you would care for a fist fight at the gate or inflight at $164.

Typical Southwest non-deal.

Sure it is. On specific routes. On specific days. Available to everyone.

YMMV is for the softheads who don't understand the sale or how to read fine print. They see $29 and expect to see whatever they want for $29. For those folks I recommend continuous use of pro-tec helmets.

The YMMV part is that they say it's $29 but it snot laugh out loud
No, it says, "One way from as low as $29." Do you expect a $29 fare from the west coast to the east coast?

Ahaha. I usually fly American and have done 4 flights with Spirit and everything have been okay. I got to tell you that the tickets are at least 35% less than American but when it comes to people in Spirit, some of them seem a bit weird lol
Yeah the pilots I've had with Spirit have had buttery smooth landings as well. Only thing I didn't like was that I had to drive to an airport over an hour away instead of the closer one, and one of the shorter connecting flights had very little legroom that it actually made me cramp up. The other planes were comfortable tho for the price.

I'm amazed at how many people don't understand this. It's literally in the title..."airfares starting from $29", not "all airfare $29".

Wish I could find a deal from BUR-ATL but everything I could find is pretty pricey.
I live about 15 min from the BUR airport and it's so much easier than LAX but I usually have to pay a premium to fly out of there.
BUR is too small to have any deals. LAX has a TON of competition so they offer better prices.

My mom prefers to fly BUR --> ATL even though it'll be $200 cheaper RT for her to fly out of LAX, but she doesn't want to deal with LAX. I don't blame her, it's a horrible large airport, but for $200 i'd deal with it.

I dream of Burbank not being so pricey, lax is the worst

Legacy airlines have lowered standards to meet the bargain carriers, If you're a light packer it's a solid move to go with spirit/frontier

Every time I see a deal like this, I have to add the price of Uber to and from the airport and then Uber to and from the hotel after landing. That's prob another $80-$100 on top of the flight price. That makes going from LA to Vegas at like $180-$200. ($100 for flight + $80-$100 for Uber). I could just drive there for gas at $120 that takes around 4 hours. Going to the airport and waiting for the flight and the whole thing prob is around 4 hours or so

That's because uber is stupid expensive these days and almost not worth it. You can sometimes rent a car for cheaper and have a ton more flexibility.

But LA to vegas flights are only if you don't have the time for that drive. I hate that drive, personally, but also hate the stupid uber pricing too. offsite airport parking is usually around $15/day.
