Is there a reason this is to be worn on a Saturday and not another day?

Also, it looks like a standard white hat, what makes it a woman's hat vs me just buying a white hat for myself?

It does look like a hat a woman could wear on a Saturday morning to pick up Starbucks and go to Pilates. But other than that not sure, perhaps the curvature of the fabric is slightly more feminine?

Most likely because the rear cutout facilitates those with lots of hair.
