A mistype. Both, Newegg and eBay state it to be NEW.
Also, the Lenovo link is not of their outlet where they sell the refurbished products. And, secondly, on Lenovo's link you can add other coupons which isn't possible with Lenovo's refurb laptops.

So this is basically the same price as the $599 HP Victus deal at Walmart (after buying an extra stick of RAM to get 16).
I've only just started watching vids/reading reviews for budget gaming laptops this week. Would I be right in assuming this probably wins out slightly over the Victus? In terms of build quality, battery life(?), extra m.2 slot etc

I'm just looking for something cheap (but decent) to game on when traveling for work.

Is this screen better than the laptops with amoled screens. I like to get a laptop for my son in middle school and have a budget of about $700 or so....

This is a better deal and better hardware for the long run. $31 more for 16GB plus 2 M.2 slot and for experience with Lenovo their gaming laptops are top tier.
