it's 1200p on 11" screen. That's better pixel per inch compared to a 1080p 24" monitor. Yes, the Ipad is better at 10.2" 2160x1620, but it is $200 on a sale compared to $131 but you only get 64GB of space vs 128GB of space on this deal. it's also 8GB of ram on the Samsung vs only 3GB on the ipad.

I got this a few weeks ago at this same price. Comparing to a Tab S7+ and S9, the screen obviously can't compare, neither does performance. However, compared to my older A7 and A7 Lite, those is perfectly serviceable. I'm very happy with it at this price point!

EDIT: I also have the 5G version with only 4GB of RAM. TBH, not much difference in my opinion. 8GB is still better because I disable the "RAM PLUS" option that uses storage for additional RAM (and that is slower for sure).

This is only partially true. ipads have good resale value. but most people who buy an Android tablet and get disappointed are the ones that buy a cheap Android tablet, and then switch to an ipad being forced to pay A LOT more money. An Android device with above average to high specs lasts much longer than an iOS device.

In41 - a decent tab at very affordable cost. Going to give to my daughter who is using a Lenovo M9 - would be a nice upgrade. This is one of the best Android tablet deals.

Was tempted by the ipad 9 deal at $200. But this one suits me better as I use Android mostly.

The hardware is pretty good, RAM/storage more than the Ipad.

I clicked for edu discount and wasn't even asked for a edu email. I bought a ebay refurb 4/64 version for 126, gonna return that and get this one. Overall was pleased with the 4gb model, but since I can get it new with double ram/storage... why not.

Just as a FYI as I was researching whether to spring for this, there was a reported multitouch issue with the touchscreen many months ago. Something about the screen losing the ability to track 2 fingers when moved in specific directions:

It's reportedly fixed now with software update 6.1, so not an issue any longer.

Excellent deal at this price point IMO. Same tablet went frontpage at $190 just over a month ago (prime day) and I doubt anyone who bought it at that price regretted it til this deal popped up. If I had the energy to navigate the EPP i'd grab one

I can only speak from using the non plus model A9 and that was pretty snappy, significantly faster than any of the cheap android tablets. And the A9+ from what I was reading was even faster. The ram isn't so much the problem with tablets it's the processing power and this has enough.

My only gripe with it is the TFT screen which is essentially a TN panel. The viewing angles are gastly horrible. I dunno why Samsung is using this when LCD and IPS is readily available. But for the price it's hard to beat. What's the alternative? A 4 year old Apple iPad for twice the price
