Can't ignore Slickdeals Scout

Just an enhancement request.

I've added Slickdeals Scout to my ignore list. I don't find it's recommendations useful, and they just seem like spam to me in the "for you" section of the homepage.

Despite being ignored, the deals still show up on my home page.

I understand SD may have reasons to not to allow users to ignore Slickdeals Scout (although I would like to do so).

However, if it's not blockable, the UI should not let me add it to the ignore list.

Same thing here, the suggestions are about 50% or more of these bot recommendations, and they are bad.

Just wanted to mention that about half of my suggestions are from "Slickdeals Scout", and they universally have negative deal scores, and often are months old. Setting aside the quality of the "Slickdeals Scout", doesn't it seem odd that massively downvoted and ancient deals are still served as suggestions? I feel like that shouldn't happen, regardless of the source.

No that shouldn't happen -- it's a bug. We turned that off just now and hopefully this goes back to normal again.

These random 'deals' which are not deals, are back. Negative votes are not allowed from the main page, and while being able to thumbs down a deal on the deal page, it does not show in the main page.

As of this posting, all of the "Just For You" deals at the top of the page are from Slickdeals Scout. Most of them are similar and all junk to me. Please get rid of this bot menace!

it won't hide scout in general but in the meantime until someone is around to look into it you can turn off the "just for you" bar if desired. it's one of the settings if you choose to "personal frontpage" via the button near the top.

It's been a few months now, may I ask where the Slickdeals Scout controls are so I can turn it off?

EVERY post scrolling across the site are from this bot for Christmas junk. Comments won't post and the thumbs down will not stick. How long is this garbage going to be an experiment before it's removed from the site?
