Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

Hello. What I do know and tried is that metro phone doesn't work with T-Mobile unless it is unlocked. But, T-Mobile phone does work with metro. That what I had before I switched to T-Mobile.

Tried two Google voice numbers. But both tries failed at the last step. Asking me to call their phone number. And my voice numbers can't be used for another orders 😭

I believe people are not planning on using it for a year.
They are just going to activate it and keep it for 1 month so they have a locked iPhone 12 for $125.
This iPhone can be used for a trade-in sometime in the future.
