Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

Right but you can't cancel within that year.
Sorry, what do you mean you cannot cancel? I don't think this is an agreement. You stop paying or disable autopay. Someone please correct, if I am wrong!

I don't understand why people are thinking this is a good deal. You are locking yourself into a $70/month plan for a year before it unlocks...for a 4 year old phone. $70 x 12 = $840 for the plans + $50 for the phone.
No. You don't need to pay for a year. You are not locked in to any plan. You don't need to pay after the initial order. Just don't do anything and after the first month just use the phone at home for a year like a mini ipad, or you can trade it in at spectrum (any trade in is $700+phone value for Samsung flip) or best buy (they don't mind it is locked, they only care about the find my iPhone is turned off by resetting).

You'll need email & ID (to verify your name & address) to sign up. Heads up—if you want to move to a less expensive rate plan during the next 6 months after getting this deal, you'll need to pay $50 to change plans. An activation charge of $25 may apply in-store. You can get deals on up to 4 lines. This is a limited-time offer and, like everything else in this crazy world, is subject to change.

those are steals, especially after the first one you purchase, all $35/each after that. The Edge 2024 is a steal for $35 Smilie)
For the other phone deals can you buy and cancel the plan anytime?

Tried two Google voice numbers. But both tries failed at the last step. Asking me to call their phone number. And my voice numbers can't be used for another orders 😭
Have your made similar orders before? I'm not sure if it's the port-in number problem. I just ran into the same problem, but I've encountered it many times trying additional tab orders. Chatting with a rep on a tab order (3rd one in the same account) went through. I didn't ask the rep why, but I'm pretty sure our address has been blacklisted due to many times of taking advantage of similar deals.
I do have a Tracfone number, but I'm hesitant to try that one as I may not get it back if the order fails again.
This is a smoking deal, especially for trade-in's. It's $40 savings over 5 months ago.

Yes, when you call to cancel, they offer it to keep you.

That's Gemini, not Google Search (yes, I know the difference). I've had some Metro locked phones work in the locked period with a Tmo SIM, so that link is incorrect as a blanket statement. It's a phone by phone thing.

That being said, someone above said that they tried this with the Iphone 12 and it didn't work. That's more accurate than the Gemini info you posted.

So you're just ignoring the part about if you need a cheaper plan in the next six months you pay a penalty?

I was able to port out a Google voice number and buy one of these last week with no issues. I got another GV number today and got an error at the last step when paying. Now it's saying they are having technical issues and try later

the durations of other plans follow the "head plan", which is the first plan in your account. And you don't have to cancel it, they don't save your card so unless you decide to pay for the next month, you're good to go.
