Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

I did 2 iphone 12 orders in the last few weeks, both have been activated though. I might pick up another one just to keep. lol

So to confirm, after paying the $75 fee for the first month, I can just simply not make a payment and I won't be charged?

This is weird. When I activate it. It ask me to call to complete the port. I have never called to complete the port in the past 10 years on metro. My port is from spectrum.

Mine got delivered to wrong address and in the photo doesn't look like any houses in my neighborhood. Should I be calling metro or ups first?

UPS first but you are not the sender so Metro has to contact UPS for insurance.

Got my phone, activated and set up eSIM. The number is still with Google Voice as far as I can tell.
Data works on iPhone 12, Amazon Prime activated. T-Mobile Tuesdays works. Will move the eSIM to my other device later in the day.

Autopay is off on the account, there is also no payment method.

I have no incentive to call in and waste time actually finishing Google Voice port in. If they can't port in by themselves it's on them.

When I try to switch the phone to an android device, I get this message. Is this because my port-in is not complete? I also have an order pending.

"Your new device is not compatible on your current plan. To complete switching your device, change your plan."

I got the same thing. Logout and log back in . It worked.
Also use official app on the phone, to switch.
I got errors when I tried switch using website on laptop.
