Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

I got the shipment email and I tried to activate it at the website, but the Activate button is grayout. It doesn't allow me to select. How can I fix this problem?

I went to 5 stores this evening on my way home from work. Only one store had an iPhone 12 (just 1) and they said their "system" wasn't updated with the $50 price and it'd be full price. I passed on that. I ended up calling in to Metro tonight and ordered it on the phone. Took 20 min and the rep verified that everything ported over and got my order confirmation. Out the door with phone, plan, and tax it was ~$128.
I just did it online without going anywhere and took 10 minutes - including 5 minutes getting a temp number for my credit card - to insure no future billing.

Just added a new line on US mobile to transfer to metro pcs but when I put it on metro pcs website, it says eligible to transfer but the price of the phone is $299.99, not $50. Does anybody know why?

Thanks! I don't plan on renewing the first line past its first month. Does that mean the second line will stay unaffected on its own terms?
No. You cannot renew lines separately. You only have a single due date. If you don't renew (the first line), all other lines will be deactivated. In case you don't know, you can login to your account with any line in your account. You have a few days of grace period (to get verification codes in case you decide to renew).

Not sure if this is allowed, but I bought a few 6 months ago when they were $50 more and planned to use them as trade-ins toward 16s. Two of them are already unlocked and the rest will be unlocked in days. Since Apple doesn't care if the trade-ins are carrier locked or not, I'll be happy to trade mine with yours if you're looking to actually use them AND if you happen to be close to where I live, which is the DMV area. Please note two have been opened but have not really been used. The rest are NIB. DM me to negotiate if you're interested.
One last call before they go back to Apple! A few people contacted me earlier but none was close to me. I live in Northern Virginia outside of DC and will only meet in person for the exchange. Cost to you is half of the difference between what I paid and what you paid to Metro. PM me if you're interested.

So I got it and used GV. Now it looks like port didn't go through but does it mean that i cannot even login to account as it requires a PIn which i don't have. Did we have to create a PIN while ordering? i don't remember. Is everyone facing same situation? I see there is discussion about going to store so apologies if this has been discussed. Any one has any solution?
