My 48" is in my office and sitting back about 3-4' from my face. It is fine given that distance and similarly not blurry (again, with the correct setting).
Additional setting: make sure to set your graphics card to 120hz output. Everything will be much smoother! Also enable HDR.

Many people can't imagine using a 48" as a PC screen, but really it's just as simple as pushing the screen back more than a typical monitor. I actually really enjoy having all that physical desktop space that affords you. It's not a negative at all but rather actually a win win situation. I just set the monitor on it's own stand like this behind the desk and adjust the scaling appropriately. I'll be still setting up my 32-in IPS as a side monitor for all my static display monitoring. 👍
