Had an order get cancelled. Placed last night. Cancelled this morning. Anyone else? Re-ordered and made sure to not use PayPal this time (different email address than the Mint email address) in hopes it helps.
I had it until my work started paying for my phone. Wife has had it for 3 years now and likes it more than when we were with Visible (Verizon). All depends on your area for coverage. Service is par for MNVOs.....meh, but could be worse.
Does that mean I have to leave it in the new Pixel phone and use the phone for 2 months? Or, put the Sim right back in my current phone as soon as the new Pixel is activated?
I am using an iPhone and buying this Pixel for my DH who does not mind using a google phone. I don't want to be stuck with a google phone for 60 days.
Agree, 2024 and 128gb is way to low. Reminds me of apple. If everyone had a NAS, they might not need more than that. Most people just pay the online cloud storage options and just forget and let it fill up.
While I agree that 128gb is too small for me, I think it does work for a majority of people just fine, because so many people don't buy and hoard music and keep copies on their phones, they're happy just streaming everything. I've only had an unlimited data plan for the past few months and finally subscribed to Tidal, but I do still have hundreds of gigs of music. In any case, I'm glad we have options, and there are good choices that fit everyone's situation, but finding the right one for the right price is the trick.
The Sony Xperia 1 VI looks slick as hell (despite Sony's awful naming system) and even has a microSD slot. Too bad we'll probably never see it discounted heavily. I'll probably keep the Oneplus 11 until I see a good price and finally cave for the 12 or a Pixel 9 Pro, but I've become pretty brand agnostic.
That's why I still have a Galaxy A-series and am not upgrading to a Pixel. SD card for music.
Certainly not as powerful, but does everything I need it to do.
I'm also a cheapskate:
- I like free/cheap "good enough for me" phones. They're fine.
- No way I'm paying for a big-bandwidth data plan for streaming music.
If that works for you, more power to you, although I', not sure why you'd even waste time with this thread then.
I've done various things with android phones - cheapies/freebies, oddball brands (the ZTE Axon 7 was amazing and a true bargain), 2 year-old flagships, and brand new top of the line models. I don't play games much anymore but I need storage space, a good camera that's usable in low light, and I'm hooked on fancy AMOLED screens, so low-end phones are not for me anymore, unfortunately. My phone is essential for my business, so I want to ask my accountant about paying for the next one with my company card and see if he freaks out or thinks I can get away with that being my personal phone, since tax deductions always help a little.

"Limited time offer. New (port-in) subs. who purchase eligible device & any 12-month data plan receive a 50% discount (6 months) on the 12-month plan at checkout."
The only way for me to add the phone to the shopping cart without selecting a plan is to not sign in. I have a feeling that my order would be canceled or I'd be charged the remaining value of the phone if I dont port in a new line within 45 days
