Q990c really didn't impress me. The sounds just often felt sharp, not enveloping. Head to head, Sonos Arc, Sub and Sonos Era 300's just felt much bigger. My 2c. Even my old Vizio 5.1.4 36514 felt more natural. Have not head the BOSE though, but it may be worth it. Even after being only $650 from Samsung EDU discount, I got rid of the Q990c. I see why people like it standing alone, but I've just never found a recent Samsung soundbar to be convincing.

Bought these from costco earlier in the year...then picked up sonus arc and woofer during bestbuy open box sale.
Returned the bose. Sonos sound is more "richer" and natural and whats not mentioned is the phone app does an excellent job of configuring the speakers based on your room. Bose is still good for what it is but sonos (with the software support) edges it out.

Q990c. Bought both. Returned the Bose. Q990c sounded cleaner at soft and louder volumes. Wider sound stage. Bass was punchier without unecessary boominess the Bose had. Better range and top end.
Samsung speaker tech has really improved after they acquired JBL. Half the cost - when discounted- with better sound. No contest really.
