I bet you could set this up in an Altima with a little ingenuity. Soundbar across the dash, surrounds on the rear deck, and sub (obviously) in the trunk.

From reviews it seems the q990c is better for movies but I'm sure Bose is better for music and things that don't involve the sound stage so. I don't own this so I can't speak for real life comparisons.

The Bose works much better in standalone mode compared to just the qc990 bar.
If you compare the complete system then qc990 seems to have the edge based on online reviews. If you want just the bar then get the Bose, if you want the complete system then qc990 is obviously the price & performance winner.
Final Thought: If you are price conscious and want complete system then get qc990, if you are brand conscious or want just a very good standalone bar get the Bose.
