Q990c really didn't impress me. The sounds just often felt sharp, not enveloping. Head to head, Sonos Arc, Sub and Sonos Era 300's just felt much bigger. My 2c. Even my old Vizio 5.1.4 36514 felt more natural. Have not head the BOSE though, but it may be worth it. Even after being only $650 from Samsung EDU discount, I got rid of the Q990c. I see why people like it standing alone, but I've just never found a recent Samsung soundbar to be convincing.

You mean Samsung acquires Harman International which owns a bunch of other sub brands like JBL, Mark Levinson, Infinity and others.

Soundbar for soundbar I believe the Bose is better and also has a better sub option. The Bose surrounds have a history of sucking. Samsung is a great value because it includes the surround and sub at a good price, but it is the value option much like all their stuff. The soundbar lacks sound depth to my ears. Sonos has the better sounding complete system to me but (unless things have changed) you need an apple device for their configuration app as the Android equivalent was not as good. It is also quite a bit more expensive.

100% agree, the 990C had good ATMOS effects but sound quality was lacking…especially music. My non Atmos JBL had more presence and punch.
IMO this Bose bar sounds very similar to the Sonos ARC system you have. I liked them both, but kept the Bose as it fit better under my TV. The sammy was also an UGLY piece of kit.
