No, 6 are generally better. They offer greater surface area contact, unless you have a 12 point bolt head (then you need a 12 point).

This is a very good deal. Most people will never even use all the tools in this enough to justify it be cheaper. In 2024, $100 for over 90 sockets and 3 90-Tooth Ratchets, that's a good price

For sure a bunch of filler. I would have liked to see at least some 3/8 deep sockets. The only deep sockets are 1/4. I would also much rather see six point sockets than 12 point, meh. It's still a good starting point if you have nothing.

Aren't 12 points gemerally better than 6 points?

Why would 12 points be better than 6 point? The ratchet provides for the flexibility, You want the stronger strength of a 6 point vs a 12 point.

Because 12>6? Then 18-points would be even better.

I doubt it, every single time I bump my box every single piece wants to move or try to get out of place. And then on the side of the actual sockets, instead of having it embedded in the size, it's usually just some white printing that's incredibly hard to see against the chrome. So it also wears off pretty easy. Creating a container that actually holds everything without it all jumping out of place, and making where you could actually read the side, lastly making it a little bit more rust resistant seems like it wouldn't all be too much to ask
