"Not actually 4 Gauge, not actually copper.
These jumper cables are closer to 6 gauge and are actually CCA, basically a copper coated aluminum. this does not perform as well as 100% copper. this means if you reach the current and amperage limit of real copper, these jumper cables would've melted and burnt by then. also, these were missing one of the leads."

Having said that, I could see leaving a pair of cables in the car in case the pack goes dead and another car is around, but I've used my battery pack to jump other people's car too, and am guessing someone else might have a battery pack too. The battery packs are a LOT more convenient.
4 gauge! The cables are very above normal in quality. Also, you may have the new small battery chargers you can hold in your hand, but they can fail. it is great to have the old school jump cables on stand by.,,,,and 4 gauge tow truck strength! not weaker 6,8 or 10 gauge. even if you paid full price of $40.
I have this same set and have jumped multiple cars without issue.

Good deal on these jumper cables. Thanks for posting, OP.
